Chapter 6

Nathan's PoV

I'm a dead man. Clay is gonna be gunning for my head. I know I know. I shouldn't have ticked him off I kinda wanted the fight to finish early. All for a soul Stone which we don't even know if its absorbed or not. I mean, whaaaaats up with that.

"I've contacted Drake. He's gonna be here with his men pretty soon. Till then the whole area has to be secured. Now if you hadn't... " Ethan was annoyed I get it. But I didn't know he was gonna go for THAT.

"I get it ok Ethan. I'm sorry. I didn't know he would do that with the City Of Lights so near."

"Yeah but what did you expect when you purposely angered him. You know how he gets when he's angry better than anyone."

"Ugh what I want right now is for Drake and his pony riders to get here so we can get Nix to safety."

I watched silently as my brother paced up and down. His light brown hair fell down his face. His Nordic eyes gleaming as the sun set.

That's the only thing that's different between us surprisingly. I have Nomad coloured eyes and his are Nordic.

We're both look exactly alike on the outside but you won't find more different people on the planet. We're both 1.7m , light olive brown skin and have straight light brown hair. I keep mine short and spiked while he grows his out.

On the inside, Ethan is the calm one. The rational thinker. The one with the brains. He's also very cold and calculating tbh. He keeps his emotions in check and doesn't let people guess what he's thinking easily. I'm the total opposite

I think with my emotions and what I feel. I love fighting and making people angry (as you saw with Nix ^ω^). I like to go more direct with things than my brother who plans. Or like Nix who uses a wide arsenal of sealing spells. Or Rosa who snipes. I'm like the classic them feels characters in animes. (Doesn't help that I use fire)

"Drake's coming. He said he's 15 minutes out. I'm gonna go and climb that tree up there so I can knock all his soldiers out. We can't let anyone see us. "

"Ok bro. I'm gonna be here with Nix"

Ethan's POV

I climbed up the tree and settled down on a high branch that was good enough for me to put his men to sleep I clutched my violin as I waited.

"Nothing is going to happen to you or that kid. There's nothing strong enough to beat you two and even the knocked out boy." Foss Gimme reasoned.

"Yes I know. But something about this soul stone bothers me. Why are we even doing going out of our way for a soul stone. Something's off about this. And I wanna know what."

"Yes but you still need to calm down Ethan. You being like this is releasing a huge aura around the whole area. Even the worst soldier can detect you"

"..."

I composed myself and waited for them to come.

*20 to 15-ish minutes later*

Drake's here.. time to put them to sleep. Hmm 8 soldiers. This will be easy really.

*Lullaby*

Simple sleep spell. Should do the trick.

"You Acolytes. I would ask what the hell happened here but I'm pretty sure that kid is the one who did it. And what did you do to my men?"
Drake asked. He didn't sound angry. Kinda amused and tired.

"A simple sleeping spell. Will wear off in a few minutes. Enough for us to do our business. The stone. I'd really really be happy if you told me it wasn't in the caravan. I have a feeling they absorbed the souls they found in the caravans."

"Rest assured here." He chuckled throwing a light blue soul stone at me.

"It will be hard to recover the goods. But then those cost a lot of money and was high quality. "

"Let's go bro. Our jobs done here"

I turned around to leave when..

"Hey kid, if any one of you need anything, don't hesitate to come to me k. I'll help you the best I can"

I nodded silently and topped by hat before walking away.

So that was a short chapter that had nothing to do with Nix (not like a knocked out person can talk any ways.. )
Honestly this is harder than I though. Seriously. But I'll hopefully get used to this and meh.. I know a little bland but right now everything is kinda going underground and shaping up to a plot. So just keep a look out. And also read the original by scythus , and the other 2 spin-off story by beatcr and militos2 ^^
