Benjamin has always been there to support me. Always, since the day we met, 400 years ago. I was 1100 years old at that time and I was on the task to retrieve the shinigami elder’s death scythe back. The elder tried keeping the information that his scythe had been stolen for later, otherwise random shinigami would make it their personal mission to retrieve it back just to get seen by the elder as a brave person, or even promoted to a council member. But even to this day, I don’t understand why the elder choose me to help retrieving it back. Like I said before I’m not very fond of killing and I only kill to survive, my physical stamina was low because of that. I started researching science when I was 350 and my I.Q. was pretty high when his scythe was stolen but shinigamis don’t use strategies, even against the necromancers, so why me? It was in the realm of the necromancers, where the elder necromancer had his castle. It was big, larger than a mansion. A few shinigamis were send to infiltrate the castle while others kept them busy and raided the place. The only other shinigamis to infiltrate with me were Souseiseki and Suigintou, my older siblings. They are a twin and my only family. Souseiseki is male and the oldest of them two. He has dark brown hair and two different eye colours. His right is green and his left is red. Suigintou is female; she has long light brown hair tied in two ponytails that hang to the back of her knees. Her eyes are also the same colours but other way around, being red in the right eye and green in the left. Souseiseki is the protective type and always there for Suigintou and I, but where you’ll find one, you’ll always find the other. Suingintou is the shy type that always hides behind her brother, but in battle she’s the most powerful. Even though you might find Souseiseki protecting Suigintou, if Suigintou gets mad then you will regret it, she’s far stronger than me and Souseiseki combined. They are my blood siblings and the only real ones I care for, well before I met Benjamin anyway. For the first 350 years of my life I stayed with them before I found something I’m interested in. We three were hiding in the roof of the throne room. The only people in the room were the king and five body guards. The guards were standing around a large glass case which is bearing the death scythe while the old kind paced the room impatiently. The king looked like a friendly kind old man; I’m already feeling bad about spying on him.
“I will take the two guards standing in front, and you take the three standing behind.” Souseiseki said pointing at our sister. “And you’ll keep the king distracted as we beat up the guards and secure the scythe.” He said pointing at me.
“Can I kill him?” I asked. He shook his head and held up his index finger.
“Our elder said no matter what we should keep the necromancer king alive.”
“I’m very confused, if we are at eternal war with them and we came all this trouble just to retrieve the ultimate weapon, why don’t we just end it and kill him?” They raised their shoulders at me and sighed quietly.
“Ok, let’s start.” They jumped down from the roof and headed for the glass case. All the guards gasped and held up the spears in their hands. The king was about to run but I jumped right in front of him, making him jump back and call upon his bony staff. It was taller than his own body and the bones had cracks in so just from looking at the bones you can tell he’s a lot older than any normal old man. The staff’s gemstone on top was a red ruby in the shape of a heart. It is said that the shape represents their soul, a heart, don’t make me laugh! This is the man who brought many back from the dead as his servants and tortured them in the most painful way as possible, he’s also the man who discovered that zombie making is possible, and not just riving the dead. Although I can’t see the difference, this man is still truly evil. And this is why I don’t understand a damn thing that’s going on in that king of ours. We’ve been in an eternal war against the necromancers for over 100,000 years and after we go through all the trouble to get a weapon of his back and in a perfect position to end the war by killing the leader of the enemy, but you order us to protect him? And second you send me right into the castle where the most powerful necromancers are and I have no experience with necromancers, I don’t have experience with weapons, the only thing I’m good at is figuring out how to defy logic through science conducted by a reaper. So what am I supposed to do against the necromancer king?! Through a chemical bomb at him?! It’ll kill an entire city but against him it’ll do absolutely nothing! The king held up his staff and the ruby shone. That’s it, I’m a dead man.
