The tears of a baby. Its first cries are the ones that are the most special. It becomes the definition and the sign of its parents’ love, a child. The long black haired mother was overwhelmed with joy. Tears erupted and poured down her cheeks from her shining turquoise eyes. The golden haired father was holding onto his wife’s hand as hard as he can. His tears were shining off his tanned skin. They watched as their son took his first glimpse at the world. The crying stopped and laughed was filled throughout the cave they were hidden in. The mother suddenly started yelling out in pain once more, grabbing tighter onto her husband’s hand.

The tall black robed men in the room acted quickly to her side, bringing warm water and towels. In the corner of the cave stood a very short black robed figure, gripping onto their son. A second cry erupted as a baby girl was born into this world. All the robed men, as well as the short one holding their son, seemed worried and confused.

What…is this?” One with a deep voice said, stumbling on each word.

“A-a second child! This has never happened before!” Another with a soft voice, possibly a woman’s, said. She was carrying the female baby in her arms.

“G-gi-v-“ The mother said, panting and struggling to talk, but it’s clear what she wants. The small figure and the robed woman stepped towards the mother who was lying down on an iron table. They both handed her the two twins with hesitation. The mother quickly took them into her grasp and held them tight. The father wrapped his arms around them all and cried along with them.

“I-I can’t believe I’ll never see my two babies grow up! I won’t see them have their first steps; I won’t see them saying their first words. School, graduation, maybe even college. Not a birthday, not them sleeping, not even ten minutes.” By then have all the robed members exited the cave. The mother and fathers would never stop.

“I won’t see them playing with each other, laughing smiling, making friends, have a first date, have a broken heart, get a lover then sneak out secretly. I won’t see my grandchildren, but… neither will they.” She sniffed. “Why did this have to happen? Why did the Hunter family have this awful curse!” The two twins snuggled together in their mother’s arms, staring up at her teary face. Two robbed figures entered the room, the same as before. The short one and the female.

Their mother looked up at the two figures. The woman figure looked down, probably trying to stall for a moment more they can have with the twins.

“They need names.” The short one finally spoke. He had a soft boy voice, probably around the age of 7 or so. The mother smiled and nodded. She looked to the boy then rubbed his clear head slowly then kissed it.

“This one will be Troid.” She said then looked to the girl who had some locks of golden hair with black tips. She smiled then pulled her hand over the hair, then kissed her forehead. “This one will be An-“ She didn’t finish the name, she couldn’t.

Blue flames formed all around her. The two twins started crying hard. The robed figures moved in a swift. So fast you couldn’t see them move. The mother looked up, over the flames to see the robed figures standing there with the two crying infants. Her husband held her tighter as they both incinerated in the flames, turning to ash. For the Hunter children to be born, their parents must be lost in order to strengthen the blood inside the children. The blood of the phoenix.

You would think the first generation of the Hunter family will have the phoenix spawn. You’re wrong. The more the cycle of life continues and this pattern of the Hunter family goes on, more the blood of the phoenix grows. The blue flames died out. The robed figures walked out of the cave and stopped at the mass of a crowd outside of the robed figures.

“So?” The tallest of them all asked.

“The boy is Troid; the mother didn’t finish the girl’s. She began with ‘An-’, but couldn’t finish.” The tall figure nodded then silence came. The two infants cried themselves to sleep, now resting in the two robed figures’ arms. After a while the tall figure finally spoke.

“This is the first time a second child was born to the Hunter family. Truly a disgrace, being as she’s an outcast. If they weren’t a twin then I’d be sure it was this generation that the phoenix would spawn. But no…it seems our hope in resurrecting Owen re Rox Yu has been lost. A fading hope…”He looked down at the woman who was carrying the girl. “…Anemone…” The woman nodded.

“And we should keep them apart?” He nodded. “Very well then.” She looked down at the boy. “Can you do it? Sora?” A sudden breeze erupted and flew through the robed crowd, but making the small boy’s hood fall off, revealing his chocolate colour hair and same colour eyes. He nodded.

“Anything for you, Ana.” She smiled, her long black hair flowing past the hood.

“Good. And I’ll take Anemone, I have a good idea where she can go.” The tall figure nodded and looked to Sora.

“Sora, I need to stay with Troid. Watch him grow up, follow him, learn his secrets, be his friend, and let me know if anything’s wrong.” He nodded. “And Ana. You’re taking her to that shinigami prince right? The one who has your younger brother as an apprentice?”

She looked down and nodded. “Then you’ll also follow her. We know that somehow they’ll meet one day but because of this incident with twins there might be some problems with them that have never happened before.” Ana and Sora nodded, then disappeared. The tall figure and the rest of the robed figures disappeared as well.

Ana jumped through trees while carrying Anemone who was sleeping soundly, not even flinching at the speed of light they were travelling. She stopped on a plain grass field, the grass field where an entrance to a science mad base was hidden. The base where the shinigami prince and her younger twin brother who believed he killed Ana. A single tear ran down her cheek.

Benjamin…I feel so awful for all I’ve done. You thought you killed me, hehe no. I know that after you learn the secret of shinigamis and necromancers that you’ll suspect me of being a shinigami. That’s wrong as well… You’ll hate me when you figure out the truth. I’ve been your enemy all along, and I’ve been alive for 500 years now. I’ve seen what you’ve done, Benjamin. I have seen you. I have seen Amaimon. I have seen your plan. I have seen your feelings on the war. I have seen your soul, and I know you better than you know yourself. But… I’m your enemy Benjamin, and until you learn the truth about everything, I won’t lay a finger on you. Then when you learn the truth, no matter what you might do, I…will kill you. For now I leave you and that prince in the hands of Anemone.

The entrance opened and the red haired scientist emerged from under the ground. His sight immediately shot to the robed figure, holding onto a baby. His eyes widened in shock as she stepped closer to him. She handed him her and stepped back, staring at his shocked face.

“Wh-what-?” He asked confusedly.

“That is Anemone Hunter.”

Hunter?” His eyes widened as he stared at her.

“Yes. So I guess I don’t need to explain about Owen re Rox Yu, but you should know that she has a twin. It’s the first in history that a second Hunter was born. His name is Troid.” He nodded.

“So I’m guessing you’re with the C.O.D.S. then?” She nodded then disappeared, without saying a single word or making a single movement seen by mortal eyes. Amaimon looked down at the baby Hunter in his arms. He shrugged. I wonder what Benjamin will say…
