My eyes shot open. I’m alone. It’s dark. I sat myself up, seeing absolutely nothing but darkness surrounding me. Just black, nothing more. I stood up and looked around. This is actually making me dizzy from looking around. I can’t focus on one spot. I decided quickly and started running in a random direction but it seems that direction I took was somehow upwards. I stopped and looked around and ran back but if I’m right I went to the right. Wait…what? I started running again. I can’t get out! I’m stuck! But I need to figure this out… I quickly took out everything I have in my pockets and decided not to put them down because they might even fall down, or upwards!
Ok I had a dollar, a tissue, and…Anemone’s diary. Sigh. I took the tissue and tore it up in small pieces and threw one piece down. It landed on the black. Weird… I turned right and walked on a while then turned back to see where the piece was. It wasn’t in front of me, it was under me. I threw one down again and somehow it disappeared and was hovering above my head. I frowned and decided to throw the pieces at random paces. When I did all the pieces came back to one single place and formed into a small creature. It was moving, alive. And the creature was a-
“Phoenix…” I mumbled silently to myself. The creature somehow grew bigger and caught on fire. I stepped back, felling my body get heavier. I fell back wards and ended up hurling downwards, never stopping, never reaching the bottom just…falling. I thought back at the last thing I remembered. Anemone and Ace started attacking Sora and Ana. Then Amaimon and his siblings came and fought also. Then…the tornado hit us and…a skeleton appeared and took me and Anemone away. And then…we were dragged into some dark room where an old man with a friendly smile stood. He had a staff….a necromancer staff… but it had no gemstone on top. And then… I don’t remember what happened after… And now I’m stuck here, falling for what I guess will be eternity. I kept falling, and falling, and falling, and after what seemed like hours it happened. I hit the ground…I could hear my bones crack but being a zombie it didn’t make any difference. I stood up and rubbed my temples. I looked all around until I spotted a light. A single light, almost about a mile away but I saw it. I began walking, then running towards it. Never stopping, no second thoughts. Before I knew it I entered the light and stood in a room with only light surrounding me. But there was someone else there, someone who I’ve come to know as my sister.
“Anemone…” I whispered to myself. She looked different. She wore a long red cape witch covered her body. What was very different was her face. Her eyes were red and she had markings on her face. I can’t explain how the markings looked but it was very different. She also had a fire ball in her hand. I looked down at the ground and my eyes widened. I could see myself in the floor. I looked almost exactly like Anemone, except I’m male, you know…
“Troid…” I heard which made my eyes shot to her. Even though we both look so different, we’re still twins and we can confirm the other.
“What happened?” She looked down and the fireball disappeared from her hands.
“We’re dead.” She said which made me groan.
“What do you mean?” She looked up at me.
“After Lord Death and the necromancer king captured us we somehow got attached, like literally and we fully transformed into Owen re Rox Yu. When he was reborn, our lives were taken away. Owen will now once roam the Earth once more and create balance with the yokai and the rest of the supernatural. Our lives were sacrificed in order for him to live.” My eyes widened. We’re dead…?
“What about Ace and Amaimon? Sora and Ana? And what about the war between the shinigami and necromancers? C.O.D.S.?” She shook her head.
“I don’t know…and we won’t know…for the rest of eternity we’ll be here and forever here. Unless of course Owen dies then our souls will be released.”
“SO this is…”
“Inside Owen, yes.”
“So we’ll never know what happens outside of Owen, and we won’t see the world through Owen so…you and I…”
“Will be together forever, as the phoenix’s soul, mind, power, and energy. We three are one, we’re one person. Even though each of us differs in race, we’re all the same…”
“Yes a phoenix, a zombie and a…” I looked up to Anemone. “You’re a?” She looked down. “Human?” I asked. She shook her head.
“I’m a Hunter, I’m me. I have no race, I’m human but I’m also a demon. I’m a demon but I’m also a yokai. I’m just…”
“You.” She smiled then nodded. “So the world outside of here will always be a mystery to us. We’ll never know whether or not the human race survives or if the supernatural make peace. We’ll never know what the true purpose of the C.O.D.S. is, or whether or not they killed our friends. It’s all a mystery.” She nodded.
“This is it for us…”
“I guess it is.”
