“Today’s weather has a 75% chance of rainstorms, so if you plan on going out today, be sure to take an umbrella.” It’s rare to have clouds here where I live, but when indeed there are then you’ll always find me in the best of moods. Well that’s because the sun is my enemy, whenever it’s sunny (which is like every day here) I always get burned in the end. Literally. And I never believe what the reports say; even when it’s 102% of rain and clouds it’s always the complete opposite. Sigh. Maybe I should just skip school today, but then again…maybe I should just quit school. I’ve been dead for over a month now and I’m still going to school. I must be the stupidest person to roam the Earth. Oh my, did I just admit to myself that I’m stupid? Well no surprise, everyone calls me that. And with what I’m now, it only made myself more confused so how the hell am I supposed to go to school and work my undead brain? Sigh.
Nah, I’ll only probably raise suspicion ‘cause you know I’m famous around here. So I quickly grabbed all my books and threw them in my book bag. I quickly ran out my room and jumped over the railing of the stairs. I landed perfectly on my two feet on the wooden floor. I ran out and locked the door behind me. I threw the keys into the bag and grabbed my bicycle. I didn’t live that far from my school, it was actually right around the block, but I’m late so walking’s not an option. I peddled as fast as I can and reached the school in about a minute time. I could see late children rushing in while others already sat at their desks from what I could see through the windows. I silently cursed to myself and rushed up the stairs.
I grabbed the handle of the door and opened it. I rushed in but stopped as I realized that the class’ eyes were on me. The teacher wasn’t even there yet so I was safe. I quickly straighten myself out and went to my desk which was right in the corner of the room, farthest from the windows. The stares drifted from me back to their conversations. I sighed quietly to myself and scanned the room of all the non-absentees. Next moment someone was messing up my blonde with black tips hair to what you might find in a metal band. I sighed long and deep like it was a drag, which it was. I tilted my head back until I could see the guilty laughing silently to himself.
“You look good man.” He said giving me the thumbs up. He flipped his chocolate hair back as if he was Justin Bieber. He stared at me with the same coloured eyes, as if I was a suspect at a murder case.
“Dude,” I finally said, breaking the awkward silence, “you’re killing me here.” He lifted his one brow, eyeing me evilly.
“Then it’s working!” He said as if he was a mad genius then giggled evilly.
“Seriously Sora, what the hell?” The evil giggle vanished from his face, replaced by an expressionless face. Then a wide smile spread across his face and closed his eyes.
“Guess.” I rolled my eyes and stared back at him.
“Um, I don’t know. The new Night of the Zombies Dead game came out?” Sora gasped dramatically, making me roll my eyes at him. “So I take that as a yes?”
“Yeah dude. After school, your house.”
“Can’t.”
“Why not? It’s weekend baby!” He said long and draggy. I tilted my head forward a little and quickly thought about a pretty good excuse. I got it! I lowered my head down and sighed. I made my face looked as if I was about to cry. “Oh jeez dude, what’s wrong?” I shook my head slowly.
“It’s just…” sigh “…my grandmother died and I’m supposed to visit my grandfather this weekend.”
“Jeez dude, I’m sorry. We can do it some other time then, K?” I nodded and looked in front to the board. Wow our teacher has never been this late! I tried eavesdropping on the girls around me. They are somehow always the first ones to who what’s happening around the school. Hmm, another pregnant girl, seriously? Why is this school full of bastards! Oh it seems all of the teachers won’t be coming today ‘cause of some drunken bitch who destroyed 4 classrooms’ windows, messed up the cafeteria and even ripped up test results. It looks like she was either very drunk or very angry, or very both.
