Darkness erupted with a full moon hanging above all. A fast figure ran through a dark forest, jumping and avoiding all in his way. After a while he reached the mountain top he jumped off, falling at a fast speed. He landed safely on his feet and quickly looked up the mountain where and old man stood, looking down angrily. The figure cursed silently and ran on, followed by the old man through yet more trees.
“Thomas! Wait!” He heard. He grinned his teeth and jumped up onto trees and started jumping from branches. I have to get away. Mister Trancy will surely kill me when he gets a hold of me.
“I’m sorry!” I yelled back. “But I can’t pass this up! For the last 300 years I’ve lived with you it was all unadventurous! I’m sorry but it was all so boring! I can’t let this opportunity pass up!” With my super hearing I heard mister Trancy curse and speeded up.
“But it’s too dangerous Thomas!” I heard but ignored it.
“You won’t stop me!” I yelled back at him. For a long while everything was silent. I reached a grass field and stopped, looking back to see if he was still there and sire enough he stood there, staring at me. “What?” I spat at him. He looked down.
“I’m sorry Thomas. I understand. Nothing’s fun around here, so now I need to ask...” He looked up at me. “You’re sure?” I nodded.
“You won’t stop me.”
“But you understand the consequences right? You’ll be killed.” I thought for a moment before nodding.
“It’s hard to explain, but I just have this feeling that if I do this then something might happen, and not something bad. Something good. But not now! In the future, like 10,000 years in the future.” He looked down.
“You sure?” He asked once more. I nodded.
“You’ll never stop me, never.” He looked up at me, staring with confidence.
“I won’t stop you, but only if you let me help.” My eyes widened.
“You wanna help me?” He nodded. I smiled. I don’t believe this.
“But this is…this is the phoenix we’re talking about! And Mister Trancy, ag father… you’re old and and what if you get hurt?” I asked nervously. He smiled.
“Let’s go defeat that phoenix now don’t we?” He asked. I smiled and nodded.
“Then let’s go, father.”
