Chapter 6

*Alex's p.o.v*


The four of us sat around a table near the back of the food court waiting for the girls. We were chatting about the upcoming tour before Jack suddenly jumped out of his seat. I watched him as he approached two girls, one I defiantly recognised. Jack hugged her and I knew it didn't mean anything but it have me a strange feeling, was it jealousy? I could see Jack hug the other girl who I'm assuming is Aby. I got up and walked towards them, the closer I got the bigger the smile got on my face.


"Jas!" I yelled happily, pulling her into a hug.


"Hey!" We pulled apart from the hug; she turned her body and smiled at the other girl. "Alex, this is Aby" Smiled at me. Aby looks like she was trying not to freak out, I think I remember Jasey telling us that her friend was a fan.


"Nice to finally meet you" I pulled her into a friendly hug.


"You too" she looked calmer now. At least she didn't go all fan girl on our asses. We all walked over to Zack and Rian who were still sat at the table Jack and I had just abandoned.


"Zack! Rian!" Jasey excitedly ran over to the boys once she had seen them. They stood and she gave Zack a hug before giving one to Rian. Jealousy hit me all over again, they say that best friends of the opposite sex supposedly like each other, did she and Zack have those feelings? I mean they had known each other for ages. Oh man I was defiantly crushing on her. I took a seat at the table, Jasey sitting next to me and Aby next to her. Jack sat opposite Aby, Rian opposite Jasey and Zack opposite me. Jasey had introduced Aby to Zack and Rian, and were not making small talk about Aby's job.


"So Aby, you're a fan?" Rian asked she smiled and nodded.


"Yeah. Hustler all the way" She stated proudly causing us all to laugh.


"How come you're such a big fan, but Jasey didn't know who we were?" I piped up, raising an eyebrow at Jasey.


"I honestly don't know" Aby laughed again. "She's heard your music when I play it, but she never really listened to it, she either told me to turn it down, or put earphones in, or play her music louder."


"Feeling the love Jasey" Jack dramatically covered his heart with his hand. Jasey just shrugged and laughed at Jack's behaviour. "What band's do you like then?"


"umm, We Are The In Crowd-" before she could continue we all looked at her shocked. "What? Why are you all looking like that?"


"They toured with us, how do you know them but not us?" Zack asked. She shrugged once again.


"I don't pay attention to who they tour with" She smiled sheepishly at us. "Can I continue now?" We all nodded. "5 Seconds of Summer, Blink 182, Fall Out Boy, Sleeping With Sirens,Pierce The Veil, You Me At Six, Of Mice And Men, Bring Me The Horizon, My Chemical Romance, Panic! At The Disco.There are more bands I like, but off the top of my head I can't think of them."


We talked about music for a while before I realised none of us had gotten an food. "I'm going to get us food, who wants what?" Everyone gave their orders and I typed it all into my phone so I wouldn't forget.


"I'm coming with you!" Jasey's voice piped up, making a smile appear on my face.


We walked up to the counter. We waited in the queue, I couldn't help but look at her, and she was beautiful. She caught me staring because a slight blush made its way to her cheeks. I looked down at the floor, blushing myself. As the girl shouted 'next' I looked up to see it was out turn to get served. I couldn't help but cringe looking at the girl, she had bleach blonde hair that had been pulled back into a pony-tail. Her face was caked in make-up, it was pretty much orange, along with her skin which had obviously been overdosed in fake tan. Her breasts hanging literally hanging out of her uniform that was clearly too small for her. She looked like a skinny oompa loompa.


"Can I take your order handsome?" She batted her eye lashes at me. Making me really uncomfortable. I could hear Jasey snickering next to me, I nudged her with my arm. I read out my order she gave me a price followed by a wink. I looked at Jasey, it wasn't very well hidden that she wanted to burst out laughing. Jasey took out her purse, which made me confuse.


"What are you doing?"


"Giving you money to pay for mine and Aby's?" I took her purse off her and put it in her bag.


"I'm paying" I grinned at her.


"Is she your girlfriend?" oompa lumpa piped up from behind the counter.


"um no why?" I furrowed my eyebrows at her. Why is she asking this?


"If she's not your girlfriend then let her pay" She snapped.


"No, I'm paying that's it" I sharply said. I handed over my money and glance at Jasey who looked quite shocked at the situation.


We were handed the food on a tray and we headed back to the table. we weren't that far from the counter when she burst into laughter. "Oh my god, that was hilarious!"


"I'm glad you found that funny" I replied sarcastically.


"Oh I did!" She was still laughing once we got to the table. I was laughing too, just not as hard as her


"What's so funny?" Aby asked I just shook my head and handed everyone their things. Everyone looked at Jasey for an explanation, once she calmed down she wiped her eyes, yes she had laughed so much she was crying.


"That really fake girl at the counter was flirting like fuck with Alex! He looked so uncomfortable, it was the funniest thing I've seen in ages!" They all turned around to look at who she was on about, once they saw her they all burst out laughing.


"It wasn't funny guys!" I wined. "She was scaring me!" They just laughed more, causing me to laugh with them. Jasey picked up the reciept that was still on the tray, she looked at me and starting laughing all over again. "What now?" I playful moaned. she passes me the reciept to see to see that the girl had writted her number with 'call me baby x' written underneath it. Cringe. Jack took it off he and decided to show everyone on the table. Which they all found hilarious, might i add.


Once they all calmed down we ate. When we had finished we headed for the exit. "We only have a couple more shops to go to, you coming or?" Jasey asked as she appeared next to me.


"Yeah, as long as its only a couple of shops, us guys don't like shopping" They all mumbled their agreement.


"I'm not fussed on shopping either" She smiled up at me. "But I need clothes, so come on Gaskarth" She dragged me into a shop causing a slight chuckle to leave my lips. She picked up a few pieces of clothing before walking to the counter and paying. I got dragged into the next shop. She got more than what she got in the last shop though. When she was walking to the counter I joined her. She got out her card to pay but I gave mine to the cashier before she could. "No Alex! You paid for lunch!" She complained.


"Nope, my treat, im paying!" I smirked at her and she pouted at me.


"Let me pay Alex!" She wined, it was cute. I just shook my head and took her card out of her hand so she couldn't pay. I turned towards the woman behind the counter nodding to her to use my card.


"You two are a cute couple" The cashier happily told us. We both blushed at her statement.


"Oh, um we aren't dating" Jasey looked at the floor, her cheeks bright red. Jasey grabbed her bags off the counter thanking the woman before we left. When we left we found everyone else sitting on the bench outside the shop. "You really didn't have to pay you know" I just smiled at her as we approached the others.

As we got to the car park we said our goodbyes and headed home. Not to mention the guys teased me all the way home about me liking Jasey. I denied it to them, but all I could think about in my head was how much I actually did like her, and more than a friend.
