"What the heck is doing here?" I asked pointing at the thief of my heart.

"He's helping us look for Chief. What else do you think he's doing here?" My uncle looked at me like I was crazy and Bo was his real niece.

"Well he can go now. He isn't needed here."

"What are you talking about. Yesterday you were so happy and excited about Bo now your being a complete brat." My once overpowering and tight voice changed to a sadden hollow lump in my throat. "And until we find Chief he's staying." The power was back

"Well then he can leave because I found Chief." Everyone looked at me and I could tell I was the answer to all their prayers.

"Where?"

"He's at Crazy Dave's place. He's caught in a bear trap."

"What do you mean crazy Dave's." Sheriff Ranger looked nervous like I said the wrong yet right name. Nothing else was said everyone went to the barn and saddled up. Uncle frank was on Sir a black quarter, Jackson and Brady rode on Buck, sheriff Helen rode our horse Rose a red quarter, I rode Lucky, and Bo was on Blaze. I brought them to a safe distance to see yet not be noticed father then I originally was.

"Your sure Chief is here?" Bo said asking me basically if I was blind. As if he didn't make fun of my syndrome enough. All I did was roll my eyes and point to where I saw him last. "Okay I'll go around and grab chief sheriff Helen you go to the front and distract Dave. Frank you go with Helen. Jackson you need to help me lift chief. Brandy and Amb-" no way is he telling me what to do.

"No I go get my dog you don't even know how to disarm a bear trap. You just stand back and watch my back. That is if I can trust you not to lie or not tell me everything."

"I don't know what is going on between you two but both of you need to work it out. We're going to stick with Ambers plan." My uncle always goes my way. "But instead Bo is going to help you and Jackson is going to keep watch." Never mind.

"Fine." That was the last thing I said. I tried to watch were I was walking so I wouldn't make any noise. Bo was not paying attention at all. Everywhere he stepped his big feet made a sound. "Could you not try to wake everyone in the dang woods up please." He ignored my comment.

"You know how sorry I am right?" Is he serious right now. "I never meant to hurt you." Guess so.

"Stop right there you damn fools." Great. Crazy Dave was pointing a gun behind us. "Now move over here, come on you rat. He moved the barrel over towards his back porch. We walked right pass my dog. I tripped and fell near Chief. He jumped up and started licking me terrified yet happy to see me. "Get up you little bitch." He cocked his gun and it was pointed straight at my head. I tried to shield my dog and I.

"Hey don't shoot her." Bo ran at him and tackled Dave like a football player protecting his quarter back. The sound of the gun made me flinch and tuck my head in Chiefs long hair. I could feel something gooie and warm.
