SKYLER POV:

"The country?" I ask, astonished. Wow. Didn't see that one coming. "Why the sudden decision?"

"We just want a change. The house is beautiful. Your rooms will be even bigger than they are now! It's located on a beach," EEK! I love the beach! "And there's a really nice and large forest behind it!" I  sneak a look at Lily, and I see that she is really excited, too. She loves the forest as much as I love the beach.

"Great, when do we move?" I ask excitedly. I'm in the mood for a change, too.

"Actually, tomorrow! So get packing kids!" Dad says. I kiss him on the cheek and run upstairs with Lily. Our rooms are right next to each other. I go into my room and start throwing things into boxes that Mom and Dad must have put in our rooms before we got home. My room is the color of the ocean, with palm trees painted on the walls next to my bed. I love the beach. I feel so calm when I'm there. It's weird, the beach is pretty much all I can remember from my past. It's all a flash of water and sand. I don't even remember life before I was adopted. Anyway, I'm rapidly throwing my clothes from my huge walk-in closet into the boxes. I know Mom and Dad will get people to pack up my bed and all the other stuff, I just have to worry about personal things. I finish packing in about forty minutes, and go to see if Lily needs any help with packing. Unlike me, she is neatly folding clothes and gently placing them in the boxes.

"Need any help with packing Lil?" I ask. I have a weird thing where I can easily sneak up on people, because I can be really quiet. As soon as I start talking, she jumps

"Jeez, Sky! You need to stop doing that!" She says. I laugh and kneel down to help her pack. "How are you already done packing?" she asks, folding her favorite skirt and placing it neatly into a box.

"Because I'm not obsessive about my clothes...I kinda just threw them into a box," I say, blushing. I'm not what you would call a tomboy, but I'm not girly, either. I care about clothes, and I wear the slightest bit of makeup, and I care about how I look. But ask me if I would rather go to the mall or play in a three-on-three pickup game, then I would totally play basketball. I'd rather do a lot of things than go to the mall. That's the thing, I love clothes, but I hate shopping. I'm weird like that.

"Sky, thats not good for your clothes! They'll be all wrinkly!" She says. I roll my eyes.

"I have arms, Lil. I can iron them if I want to," I say, flopping down on her bed. It's strange. Lily and I are so alike, but theres one thing very different about us: I love the beach, and she loves the forest. Don't get me wrong, I like the forest, but I prefer the beach. Lily, on the other hand, isn't a fan of the beach. She really doesn't like the ocean. Go figure.

"Sure, you'll most likely forget, or just wear your clothes wrinkly," she says, smiling. That's true.

"Whatever. So what was that stuff about Ben today? You 'loveeee' him?!" I ask, mocking our friends earlier. Ben's super cool, and I'm really glad that of all the guys at our school, she likes him. I'm really good friends with him, we play basketball in free time at school a lot, and we sit together sometimes. He's pretty good looking, I guess, with blond-brown hair that falls in his chocolate brown eyes. He's about 5'11, maybe 6'0. Thats one thing Lily and I both like about guys. Height, We're both tall, I'm only about 5'8 or 5'9, and Lily is 5'11. He's not my type. I like black or dark brown hair and blue eyes.

"No...like..." she says, blushing.

"Sure. Lily, I see your face when he's around you. You look like John when he's watching a starwars movie or soomething. You should talk to him!" I say. All of a sudden, my phone buzzes. its a text from Ben.

"Speak of the devil," I mutter, smiling.

Hey Sky. Wanna go to the park and have a pickup game with me and the guys? Bet you can't beat us! :p
