LILY POV:
Skyler's parents seemed so nice that now I'm really nervous to meet my parents. I mean, what if they're not as nice as Skyler's were? What if they hate me? What if they don't think I'm good enough?
All these thoughts cloud my brain as we're driving (well, more like the car is floating) back up to the surface. Leo keeps sending me glances but I don't return them. I can tell he's looking in my mind but I'm too tired to tell him off for doing it. Leo suddenly clears his throat from beside me and motions for Josh to stand up with him. Skyler and I exchange a look, but say nothing.
"You both know that you're going to have to learn how to fight, right?" Leo asks and Skyler nods her head eagerly while I nod mine reluctantly. I don't want to learn how to fight, mostly because I don't want to hurt people. But I know I have to. Leo and Josh said that we're in danger. "Well since you do I figured you could use a weapon..." He pulls out something from inside one of his many pockets. The gold and silver is woven perfectly into a gorgeous looking braid. It's very long and pretty looking.
"Wait," Skyler says, studying the bracelet, "you're saying that's a weapon?" Leo nods and then turns to me. He delicately puts the weapon in my hands and it morphs into an even prettier looking thing, but more deadly. Each little sliver on the braided chain looks like a knife, but like the blade was carved into the form of a leaf. It looks like there are thousands of little leaves on this thing.
"It only reveals it's true use in the form of it's owner. It has always belonged to Lily, and she's the only one who can use it." I stare wide-eyed at the deadly thing in my hands. I touch one of the ends of the blade, but it just feels soft. I smile at this. Skyler tries to touch it, but pricks her finger, causing the skin to open. She winces.
"Damn magical whip," she says under her breath and I laugh, coiling the whip around my wrist and upper arm.
"It looks almost like a bracelet," I comment, admiring the whip that is coiled around my arm.
"Wait, if she gets a weapon how come I don't get one?!" Skyler exclaims, playing with her watch necklace.
"You're kind of holding it," Josh says. Skyler looks down and stares wide-eyed at her watch necklace.
"But-but it's not turning into a whipp or anything!" She exclaims, pouting a little.
"It's name is Marina," Josh says a glimmer in his eye. Skyler takes off the necklace, studying.
"Marina," she finally says and that's when the necklace morphs in her hands. It becomes sort of a watery looking material (also deadly sharp) and extends itself about as long as my whip. It's pretty sparkley and looks almost like glass, but a blue glass. Skyler twirls it around in her hands as if it's the lightest thing in the world. "So you have to say it's...erm...I mean her name to get the staff to come out?"
"Yep," Josh says casually. The car gives a jolt and we're back on the shore, heading towards the forest. I feel nervous all over again as the car continues through the forest, somehow expertly avoiding the trees in it's path.
After about half an hour of driving and just talking about the kingdoms, the ground starts to vibrate underneath the moving car.
"Is this an earthquake or some kind of weird Terras thingy?" I ask Leo and he goes in the front of the car. I feel it come to a gentle stop as the weird shaking continues, coming once every two seconds.
"This is no earthquake," Josh says, pulling out a sword that looks like it was made out of the same material that Skyler's was made of. Leo follows, carrying a bow and a quiver of arrows with same looking sharp leaves on the ends of the arrows.
