Strange Happenings

LILY POV:

(SET IN PREVIOUS CHAPTER)

"Sure, Sky. Whatever, I just can't believe you would do this to your own sister!" I yell, letting the tears fall and dashing out the door. I don't think I've ever been so mad at Skyler in my life. 

How could she do this?! She knows I am like totally in love with him! And it's bad enough that I'm her own sister...

I run until I get to the beach and then start sprinting towards the forest, my silky nightgown billowing in the breeze behind me and my feet leaving faint marks in the sand. 

"Lil, wait! I don't know what you want me to do! I didn't make him like me!" Skyler yells and I stop, feeling so much anger swell up inside me I feel like I might pop. Every boy loves Skyler. She's so outgoing that she's not afraid to talk to them, unlike me; the shy girl nobody knows. "Lily. I tried to get him to like you. I did. And I know how you must be feeling. If it makes you feel better I told him I couldn't go out with him because you like him. Sure, he's awesome, and I would love to go out with him, but I didn't because I care so much about you!" 

HE ASKED HER OUT?!

A strange and painful fluttering surfaces in my chest. If this is what heartbreak feels like, I never want to feel it again. 

"So you knew? You didn't tell me?" I sob. I can't tell if it's anger or disappointment that is bubbling up inside me, but I don't care. Despite the pain of it I feel in some strange way...powerful. Very powerful. 

"I didn't want to tell you because I didn't want this to happen!" Skyler screams and I get even more mad at her for being mad.

Why the hell is she mad?! She's not the one with a sister who went behind her back and flirted with her crush!

"This is all your fault, Sky!" I sob, feeling the trees rustle behind me in a sudden gust of wind. "You're so selfish! You don't even care how I'm feeling right now! You only care about him!" Jealousy of my sister comes down on me like a tsunami. "So many guys LOVE you, Sky! And you couldn't even let me have Ben!" More wind and the faint sound of footsteps. The wind is so loud I can't even hear what Skyler is yelling at me. 

Calm down, Lily, you're going to blow your cover...

Who the hell is speaking in my head? Great, now I'm totally going insane... I say in my head as I hear a boy's voice...a low voice speaking in my head. Somehow slightly familiar, but this is weird. 

I suddenly notice the water from the sea gathering around Skyler as she balls her fists. Woah, I know she used to have tantroms but this is way out of control! 

Just then forest animals come out and join me where the howling wind doesn't affect the air. I watch as a ton of chipmunks gather around me, as well as some wolves and even a couple of deer. The wind is insanely strong now and I look over to Skyler to see she has water swirling all around her, but she doesn't seem affected by it. Not even when a shark comes there too. 

All of this over some human boy? The mysterious male voice scoffs. He's probably not even that good looking...

Okay, whoever you are, please get the hell out of my head! I say back, hoping he can hear me. 

I'm trying to help you. Now order the chipmunks to go attack. They'll listen to you. 

Is this guy crazy? But, even if so, I listen to him and order the chipmunks. They try and get into the huge swirl of water but  can't. I let out a frustrated scream, close my eyes and try to make some sense of this.
