The House of Horror: Part 1

Hey guys and gal's I know this is only my first time, but I hope you like my second case! I've been working really hard on it. Anyway this is THEORY HOUSE OF HORROR: PART 1. I hope you enjoy it!!!!!

MAI:

HI I'm Mai Taniyama, I'm a senior in college. Because of the last case my boss Kazuya Shibuya, (also secretly known as the famous Dr. Oliver Davis) who I like to call Naru the Narssissist or Naru for short, would not let me go on any cases for an entire year. Is it just me, or is Naru being a little over pretective. Anyway, Halloween is coming up soon and everyone had a costume ready for the Halloween Party. Of course I had to sweet talk Naru into it.

Everyone had to put on a different costume and guess who is who. Last year nobody could guess that I was dressed as a giant man-baby until I took off my head to get a drink. Weirdest part about it was everyone thought I was Monk. It was a lot of fun.

Anyway, it won't be another week until then, and we have a new case. I'm headed towards Naru's office when I ran into a client jumping for joy. Knowing that reaction Naru accepted his case. And I came in to beg Naru to let me come. I knock on his door and heard a faint "Enter."

I walk in and see Naru sitting at his desk going through his little black note book. "What is it Mai? Came hear to complain why I haven't told anyone about our relationship?" Said Naru with a bored tone. After the last case Naru and I have been secretly dating. Every time Masako comes and asks Naru of they would like to go out he simply says he's busy and we sneak out to have dinner or a movie or something similar to that. "No, but that isn't a bad idea." I say teasingly.

"What I really want is to go on this ca....." "NO! Especially in this time of year. After all. Halloween is the time of year spirits are most active." Naru said in a serious tone. "I know but..." "No "buts" about it. You are not going on this case!" "Come on Naru I really want to go! Unless you want my ex boyfriend to take me away." "What!?" "Didn't I tell you? My boyfriend's back in town and he's been looking for me. If I don't go the first person I am going to see when I get home is my ex down on one knee begging to take me back." "Noway I'm going to let that happen! Mai your on the case." "Alright! I'll text Keiko to stall him until I get back." I say leaving Naru's office and pulling out my cell phone.

NARU:

"Mai wait!" I yelled but she didn't seem to hear me. 'What was she thinking? Doesn't she get it I just don't want to get her in danger again? And now with her ex back in town it's going to be a lot harder trying to keep our relationship a secret and make sure her ex doesn't take Mai away from me.' I thought to myself as I studied my notes on the case.

"Having trouble with Mai, Naru?" Asked Lynn walking in my office. "What's it to you? This is between me and Mai." "Well I hope you know there's a boy here asking for Mai." "WHAT!?" I jump out of my chair and race to the waiting area. I see Mai and her ex.

"Come on Mai. Give me another chance. I came back just for you." "NO! You had your shot, and what do you do? You leave me with my broken heart in my hand!" Mai screams standing up. "But I came back. Please Mai,  please." Akari begged and begged.

I walked between them and started to speak. "What exactly are you doing here? We have a case and I need my employee's to be ready for departure tomorrow. I don't need anyone upsetting them. Besides, Mai don't you already have a new boyfriend?" I look at Mai silently telling her to go along with it. "Your right, I've already moved on with someone else who would never leave me. So if you want me back you'll have to go through him." Mai says pointing towards the door "I'll find this guy and get you back no matter what." With those words Akari left and a sense of relief filled the room. 

"Thanks Naru, you saved me." "Next time come and get me before going to talk to that guy, alright?" "Alright." Mai says energeticly. Mai stands up too quickly and we kiss. Mai hurriedly stepped away in a fluster. She tries to hide her embarrassment.

I snicker at her reaction and say "What are you doing? I thought you liked it when we kissed." "I do, I just...." I grab her hips and pulled her close, and kissed her. "Naru!" Mai screamed. I snickered and go back to my office. Mai comes after me saying "What in the world was that? I thought you wanted to keep our relationship a secret." "I am. That was just a little punishment for earlier." "Naru! You're such a jerk!" "You're the one who fell in love with me." "Jeez." "Did you come in here to chat, or is there another reason?" "Hmm, let me think...... Oh, I remember. What is this case about? Knowing you it's probably going to be dangerous." "I'll hold off on the matter until I know more about the case."

Suddenly Monk walked in.

MONK:

"Hey guys what'chu up to?" I walked into the office to find Naru and Mai hugging. "Oh! I see somethings going on here. Dare to tell me?" They separated and flustered almost immediately. Then Naru spoke "Mai's ex-boyfriend came by and upset her. I can't have my workers slacking off." 'It's obvious that they're hiding something.' I thought to myself, however, I decided to go along with their game. "Oh, I see. If he ever comes around you again just holler alright. I bet the living daylights out of him." I said in a convincing voice. "Monk! That's not necessary!" Mai yelled, seeming to convince the gullible girl. However, Naru had a suspicious look on his face. "If your not here for the case then you should leave. I've got better things to do than gossip." Naru. Said clearly annoyed.

"Actually, I'm here to tell you a little about the place where the case is." They both looked at me with curious looks. "Continue." "Well, it goes something like this. There's been a rumor about a legend in that place. They say that over the years there has been strange disappearances going on at that place. But not just any random disappearances. They were all at the same place the same time and the same type of victims everytime." "What type are you talking about?" "All the victims were female, all undertake age of 25, and all of them had brown hair." Mai gulped at the explanation which describes her almost exalctly.

"Naru, make sure Mai is safe on this case if you let her go." "Well actually I..." Naru was cut off by Mai saying "Naru said I could go. As long as I stay by his side." "I see. Well Naru, I trust you won't do anything to Mai while being her bodyguard." I said with a smirk on my face. Mai instantly blushed and Naru kept his cool demeanor and said "if that's all then leave and let us get back to work." I quickly left seeing the death glare Naru through at me.

MAI:

Monk left after Naru tossed him one if his go away or die glares. After we made sure he was gone Naru said "Mai tea." I quickly left after seeing the annoyed Naru thinking it better than to upset him any further.
