Or is It?: Part: 2

THIS IS THE NEXT PART. SINCE IT'S SUMMER BREAK I HAVE A LOT OF TIME ON MY HANDS, SO I CAN WRITE MORE OFTEN. I HOPE YOU'VE BEEN ENJOYING MY STORIES. AFTER SUMMER BREAK I WONT HAVE AS MUCH TIME ON MY HANDS WITH SCHOOL AND SO ON. THESE CASES ARE GOING TO TAKE PLACE IN ENGLAND NOW SO I HOPE THEY GO WELL. SO, HERE GOES.....

MAI:

Thankfully, Aine convinced John, who seems to be a little over protective, to accept the case. after all we absolutely need to catch up after so long. Naru was "persuaded" by our ids to take them along. apparently even he can't resist our children's puppy faces. =3 I doubt he'd leave them behind anyways, since our babysitter is coming with us.

"Hey Mai. Can I ask you something?" Aine asks in a hushed voice. "Is it about John?" "No. I was wondering how you broke the news to Naru that you were pregnant with twins?" "Why?" "Can you keep a secret?" "Sure. What is it?" "Well, when I went to the doctor to confirm my pregnancy, he said that we were having fraternal twins." "Really! Oh Aine......." "Shhh!" "This is amazing!" "I know. But, I have no idea how to tell John and prevent him from not letting go on cases." "That's a tough one. Well, if you ask me, I think you should just tell him out straight. I think he'll understand." "You sure? I mean. This is a big deal. He's already regretting letting me go on cases. I don't want to hurt his feelings by not telling him, but I want to go on cases so we all can catch up and I did promise that I would show you my Pyrokinesis in action, didn't I?" "Well, like I said, just tell him and then talk it over with him. He'll understand." "Alright. Thanks Mai." "What are friends for? Now we better get going or Naru will scold us." "Right behind ya there." We laugh then go to our car. Before long, we are on our way to the site of our case.

AT THE CASE SITE: MONK:

We arrive, and as usual Naru starts barking out orders. "Monk, Ayako, John, you will unload the van and set up base. Mai, Masako, Yasu, you set up cameras and microphones where Masako senses ant spiritual activity. Aine, your coming with me and the twins to talk with the owners. Now get to work!" We all go to our tasks at hand. We were investigating a hotel that, apparently, people have started going missing in. At first, it just seemed like people were moving in then out. Until, one of the employees found blood in one of the rooms. and the person that was staying there was missing.

THIRD PERSON:

After Mai, Masako, and Yasu finish, they go back to base. When they get there, Naru was looking over monitor after monitor. Aine was napping on the couch, that was in the base, along with Mia and Myles. Monk and Ayako were having another lovers quarrel, and John was trying to calm them down. Things were slowly going back as they were before. This made a small smile form on Mai's and Masako's lips. 'I know this will be an unforgettable case.' Masako thought not knowing ow right she was. As they were all enjoying this happy reunion, little did they know about the darkness haunting this place. This case was going to be a reunion, not only of friends and family, but of enemies as well.

After Monk and Ayako stopped their little lovers quarrel, John was exhausted and sat down by Aine, who was sleeping in a sitting position. Johns eyes felt the weight of exhaustion and he fell into a deep slumber, his head laying atop Aines. Aine leans onto Johns shoulder, suddenly feeling his warmth. Everyone looks at the couple with kind eyes. Some envy them, others are happy for them. The brief happiness falls short after the lights go out. The once happy moment turns into an eerie atmosphere. Then the lights come back on revealing the once white wall covered in words of blood.

'I don't want to die.'

Everyone gasps at the familiar words. "So, does this mean that......." Masako says with fear. "Yes, Urado is back." Naru says in a serious voice. Naru clicks his tongue then shouts "Everyone! We're leaving! Pack everything!" We start packing up when Mai says "Hey! Where's Aine!?" Everyone looks at where the pregnant woman was and finds it empty. Only John remained, unconscious and alone.

TWO HOURS LATER:

John has woken up. When he finds out what happened to Aine he falls into a state of panic then passes out altogether. Since then, he hasn't woken up. "Poor John. I wish I could help him." Yasu says earnestly. "Don't worry Yasu. Masako and Mai are currently trying to find out something that could help. Since Masako is your wife, it's kind of like your helping through her." Ayako says trying to calm Yasu down. "Hey, daddy?" Mia says in worry. "Yes Mia?" "I'm worried. When is auntie coming back?" "I wanna know too!" says Myles on the verge of tears. Naru didn't want to lie to his kids. He told them the truth. That Aine was taken by a blood-thirsty spirit, trying spare their feelings. Naru looks down at his two children. He smiles. "It's going to be okay. I promise we'll get her back." The two little four-year-old's climb into their fathers lap and hugs him as they start crying. Naru hugs them back and comforts them. Even Naru has soft spots and weaknesses. And that would be his family.

MAI'S DREAMLAND:

Mai's head shoots up. Mai, cautiously, looks around at her surroundings. She looks down and see that she's floating above the hotel. Then, Gene shows up. "Gene!" Mai shout. When Mai and Naru moved to England, Naru explained that Gene wasn't dead, but was in a coma. The explanation is still kind of unclear to her but she understands it at least. Mai hugs Gene who appeared. "Looks like my new sister-in-law has her hair grown out." Gene says running his fingers through her hair. "You know if Naru finds out you did this he will kill you." "Aw, Mai. I thought you cared." Gene sarcastically said. "You know I care! Wait. Was that sarcasm?" Gene laughs at how gullible she is. Mai puffs out her cheeks in anger. "You still puff out your cheeks ever so adorably." "Flattery wont get you anywhere!" Mai lashed out. Gene flinched then took a step back seeing how he went too far. "Okay, okay. I'll back off for now." Mai huffs and looks away, crossing her arms.

"So, Gene. Can you tell me what happened to Aine?" Gene nodded and pointed to the down towards the left. Mai looks and sees a garden. A closer look and she sees a small house in the middle. The scene changes and Gene disappears. She's inside the small garden house. She walks around seeing if she could find Aine. When she goes into the living room, she finds what she' looking for. "Aine!" Mai shouts and runs over to her sister. Mai, then, notices that she is awake not asleep. She's holding a cross necklace in her hands and is praying.  Mai places a hand on her shoulder. Aine flinches, feeling a soft warmth on her shoulder. "Mai." Aine says a little relieved. Aine puts her hand on her shoulder where the warmth was. Mai, then, wakes up.
