Twenty Two : Goodbyes & The Tables Have Turned

Niall :

It was sad to go back to London now but I was going to meet up with the boys, then the New Years party, and then more publicity stunts with Jennifer. I have no idea when I was coming back here but the beauty of being on a break was I can go home whenever I want. Callie and I said our goodbyes to our families while Jennifer finished packing her bags. After saying our "goodbyes" & "see you soons" we all headed to my mom's car with Callie's mom as well to the airport. Hopefully this flight would be better than last time, that's when an idea popped into my head.

Callie :

We got to the airport then Niall and I said goodbye to our mom's one more time. I really was going to miss my mom, it was nice to catch up with her in person.

"Bye honey, I love you! Call me as soon as you land!" My mom said hugging me tight.

"I love you too mom, I'll call you as soon as we get to London." I break away from the hug to see Niall saying his goodbyes to his mom and Jennifer on her phone.

We all walked into the airport and checked our bags in, after that we went through security.

Since it was so late in the afternoon we went to go get lunch because we had an hour until our flight. Lunch was kinda quiet but I didn't mind cause I was just texting my mom and sister anyways.

It was time to board our flight and then we finally got to our seats. I sat by the window again ready to third wheel, but something was different. Niall looked at me and smiled causing me to smile back. Jennifer went to her magazines while Niall started to talk to me instead of Jennifer. Was this real life or a dream?

"I'm going to miss it here and you after you go back to school." Niall said sighing.

"Me too, but we can hangout anytime you want!" I say trying to lighten the mood.

"I have that scrapbook of yours. It's in my carry on. I love it so much." Niall said blushing.

"I'm so happy you love it, especially those great throwback pictures." I say laughing super hard. Niall starts to laugh too that we're laughing so hard we didn't even hear the flight attendant's speech.

"Could you guys keep it down!!" Jennifer scowls at us.

"Sorry." Niall and I mumble, causing us both to laugh even harder.

I start to take pictures as we take off but Niall taps my shoulder.

"Can I take a picture of us on your camera. If that's alright?" Niall says blushing. I start to blush as well then smile.

"Of course." I say handing my camera to him. I start to look out the window of the sky, it was so beautiful. Then suddenly I see the flash go off causing me to turn my head back to Niall.

"What'd you take a picture of??" I say grabbing the camera from Niall, only to see a picture of me looking at the sky through the window. I really liked the picture, you could even see some of the sky.

"My beautiful best friend looking at the amazing sky." Niall says smiling at me. I start to blush and turn red.

"Thank you, I really like the picture!" I say hugging him.

"It was my pleasure." Niall says taking the camera back from me.

"Let's take that picture." Niall says holding up the camera to face us.

"Smile!" Niall says smiling super big causing me too look at him. Then we take another one of us smiling super big, then we just random silly ones.

We look at the pictures and I can't help but smile. All these pictures were so cute, I then got to the picture of Niall smiling super big and me looking at him. I didn't even realize I was smiling while looking at him.

"I like that picture." Niall says pointing at it.

"Me too." I say smiling up at him.

I put my head on his shoulder and he smiles down at me, completely forgeting that Jennifer was there.

"I couldn't have asked for a better best friend." Niall says looking down at me.

"Ditto." I say closing my eyes nestling into his shoulder.

I felt like I was getting my Niall back, even if he was with Jennifer at least I wasn't fully losing him anymore.
