After discovering from Fury that no progress had been made with the hard-drive, I asked Agent Anita Malik to drive me to Mattew's house to pick up Chloe's stuff. When we got there I knocked on the door and Matthew answered.

"Hey," I said.

"What's up," he answered casually before suddenly asking, "Where's Chloe? Is she OK? Are you two on speaking terms now?"

"Chill dude, she's fine," I responded with a laugh. A pretty woman with strawberry blonde hair and blue eyes came up behind him. I assumed it was Caity. Glancing at her I said, "I'll tell you about it later."

"Hi," she said to me. "I'm Caity."

I stuck out my left hand to her and she shook it.

"I'm Anaiya," I responded. "Chloe's girlfriend."

"Oh yes, she did mention you a few times while she was here. None of them good."

We both laughed.

"So are you going to invite me in?" I asked.

"Of course, sorry," Matthew replied, moving aside to let me pass.

"Tea, coffee?" he asked as we made our way into the living room.

"Just water please," I answered.

"I'll have a peppermint tea," said Caity.

He left the room and I took a seat on the sofa, wincing slightly.

"What happened between you and Chloe... And your arm?" Caity asked slightly jokingly.

"Chloe and I got into a fight over something stupid on Wednesday, she stormed out on me and came here. We work together though so when we saw each other at work yesterday, we made up. Then, on our way home, on my motorbike, we had an accident. It's not too bad, they had to keep her in though."

"Are you OK?"

"Yeah, I'm used to the pain. I'm such a clutz, I used to get hurt all the time when I was little."

"Who do you work for?"

"What?"

"I'm ex-MI6. I used to be an
interrogator. I got very good a telling when people are lying and from what I can tell, you're pretty good so, who do you work for?"

"Why are you lying to me?"

"What?"

"Two things, A, MI6 don't employ under 18s and B, I spent all of last night researching about you."

She had a look of shock and utter disbelief on her face.

"I know about your parents. How they were MI6 and how they were killed in the field, leaving you an orphan. I also know about how your brother got-"

"STOP!" she shouted. "I get it, you know about me. I'm sorry, I shouldn't have lied but I just wanted to be special, interesting. My life is as boring as it gets."

"Is everything alright in here," asked Matthew, sticking his head in.

"We're fine," I said, the tone in my voice clearly showing we weren't. "Where's Chloe's stuff?"

"By the door," he answered.

I grabbed Chloe's stuff and left without saying another word to either of them. I went home and ordered Indian take away for dinner before going straight to bed.
