As we crept silently up and down the corridors, through the doors and up and down the many staircases, the facility, an abandoned clothing factory, grew more and more empty, it seemed. There was absolutely no-one around. But, I knew that there had to be a secret passageway somewhere that led to the main part of the base. Still, Chloe and I communicated in whispers.

We'd started skirting the edges of the factory and worked our way inwards. We were currently standing outside of the main workshop. We stood on either side of the main doors listening. Everything was silent and I was about to signal Chloe to enter when we heard a sound like a big door was being forced open. We looked at each other. Then, roughly 6 sets of heavy footsteps could be heard. The main door to the factory was thick but we could hear low voices inside and we caught a few words that sounded like "intruders, find them" and "two women".

"On three," I whispered to Chloe. We readied our weapons.

One. Two. Three.

We kicked open the doors and I immediately shot 3 of them in the head, killing them instantly. Chloe shot a trick arrow at another that wrapped round her neck and sent electric pulses making her groan. Then she shot another trick arrow that wrapped around her body, trapping her arms against her sides. Chloe then quickly shot three normal arrows into the 5th ones chest in quick succession while I shot the last.

Inside I smiled. Me and Chloe had taken down those guys so quickly it was almost to quick to process. Then I did start to take in our enemies. They were all super muscley and they wore khaki pants with combat boots and fitted black t-shirts with guns in thigh holsters. They also had army tags round their necks. But none of them wore any bodyarmour. A small part of my brain was telling me something was off then, as if on cue, the woman who Chloe had trapped, broke free and the others started to get up.

I started to panic. The human enhancements must already be in progress. These were definitely supersoldiers otherwise how could they still be alive? We were standing too close for long range weapons now, this would be hand to hand. I knew Chloe wasn't ready for this but I certainly couldn't fight 6 supersoldiers alone.

All of them reached for their guns and Chloe and I dove in opposite directions behind various pieces of machinery. I knew we couldn't take them, even together so I told Chloe to abort and find a way out. The soldiers were coming closer.

One turned towards me and I ran around the corner just as I heard Chloe fire a grappling hook arrow into the ceiling and flip onto the catwalk like batman. The closest soldier reached me and I tried to shoot him but he easily knocked my gun aside and kept walking towards me. I backed up, waiting for something to get in my way but just as I got to table and I thought it was over a voice sounded out.

"Stop. This one I want alive." It was Skilenski. "Bring her to me."

The soldier grabbed me and I tried to fight back but his sheer strength was too much. He dropped me onto me knees in front of Skilenski and took position behind me with his gun pointed at my head. I looked at the floor. All the other soldiers stood in a circle around me to ensure I didn't escape.

"Anaiya, what do I do?" Chloe asked over comms.

"Get out of here, get back up, and come back for me," I responded in a low voice. "I'll be fine."

I thought she would protest but when I looked up she was gone.

"Where is the other girl?" Skilenski asked his soldiers.

"She escaped," responded the woman.

"Nevermind," he responded, "this one will do. Bring her."

One of the soldiers grabbed me and shoved me over his shoulder, kicking and screaming.

"Will you shut up?" he asked before promptly knocking me out.
