The Next Morning
Shannon's POV

I woke up slowly, once again freezing cold. Once I had fully come to my senses, I sat up and stretched. Last night I'd got back to mine and Saraya's hotel room, got into bed and fell asleep in record time. I smiled happily as I realised I had a free day, I wasn't needed at the Smackdown tapings tonight.

It's funny, when you're working there's a billion possibilities of what you could do on a day off. But when it's actually the day off, you have no clue what you want to do. Hauling my ass out of bed, I went to my suitcase to pick out some clothes. I found a shirt that looked way to big to be mine. Whose is this? I turned it round to find 'Hounds Of Justice' written across it.

Ahhhhh, it's Dean's shirt. I have to remember to give it back. I will the next time I see him. It seems like forever since I last saw any of them, even though it was more like a few days ago. I don't know what it is about them, I barely know them but it feels as though I've known them for years.

I shut my suitcase and sit on the floor, leaning against the wall. I feel like I should be scared of them, but I'm not. Is that bad? It seems everyone is intimidated by The Shield. Granted, they did scare me when I first met them, especially Dean. There's just something about him that just screams danger, even when he's acting all nice and sweet.

Once I'm dressed, I pick up Dean's shirt again. Should I go see him now and return it? Or just give it to him when I see him next? What if I don't have it on me when that happens? I take a deep breath. No need to start over-thinking again Shannon.

I'm saved from having a full fledged panic when a soft knock on the door brings me back to my senses. I answer it and smile. It was Dean.

"Ambrose!" I greet, stepping aside so he can come in. He nods and comes in. He goes to speak, but I interrupt him.

"I have something of yours" I rush into my room and grab his shirt, then hold it out for him.

He looks at it. "Keep it"

"What? Why?" I ask.

He shrugs. "It looks better on you. I blush deeply, but craftily manage to hide it by turning around and stuffing the shirt back into my suitcase. I turn back to face to him once I'm 100% certain my cheeks are normal colour.

"So, what brings you here?"

"I was coming to see if you'd thought more about our little offer" He tilted his head and grinned darkly at me. What offer? Had I been sleepwalking?

"You know, about joining The Shield?" Dean had obviously seen the confusion on my face. I shook my head. I hadn't actually thought about it all. I mean, joining The Shield would be pretty great, I might end up getting an eventual title shot. But that means turning my back on Saraya.

"No, no I haven't" I shrugged.

"Well, make sure you do think about it. You'd look pretty sexy in a Shield uniform" He winked and then swiftly left the room. Alright then. I wonder how many people he winks at and leaves. Charming.

I rolled my eyes and gasped as I remembered something. Dolph was taking me out for a date tonight. I quickly sifted through all the 'nice' outfits and groaned. I have nothing to wear! I'm not asking Nikki, way too much cleavage is shown. Not Saraya, it's just all black. AJ's clothes would be way too small. I could ask Brie? Yeah, I'll asking Brie.

Later
"It's a little low cut Brie" I muttered. Brie had kindly come to my hotel room to help me with my crisis.

"It's fine! Trust me, you look great" She grinned as she stood next to me in the mirror.

(She is wearing what Brie is wearing, on the left!)

"Are you sure?" I asked. The top was a little low for my liking, but I suppose if Brie said it was okay, then I should listen to her.

"Shannon. You look great, stop worrying!" Brie laughed a little and shook my shoulders gently from behind. I turned to her and gave her a hug, smiling. Brie was right, I need to stop worrying. Nothing could go wrong.

Brie left not long after, which left me on my own waiting for Ziggler. I stared up at the clock, puffing out my cheeks. 7:40PM. 20 minutes. Gosh, I'm so impatient.

The minutes ticked by pretty quickly, but it feels like a century when you're waiting. Suddenly, the door knocked and I jumped out of my skin. Jesus. I stood up, smoothed my skirt and took a deep breath. You're making such a big deal of this! I mentally scolded myself as I walked to the door. I opened it swiftly and almost died. Like, right there.

Dolph was wearing the cutest black blazer, with a white shirt and black jeans. He was holding a bouquet of colourful flowers. Honestly, I couldn't tell what sort of flowers they were, but they were pretty ones.

"Hey" Dolph was grinning, but he looked nervous, which I found surprising.

"Hey, you" I smiled back and took the flowers as he handed them to me.

"I got these for you"

"Thanks" I carefully placed them down on the table, walked out the door and shut it behind me. "So, where we off to then?" I asked and we started walking.

"That's a secret" He chuckled. I rolled my eyes as we got out of the elevator and into the lobby.

"I had a great time, thank you Dolph" I said as we arrived outside my hotel room door. Smiling, I turned to face him.

"It was my pleasure, Shannon" He grinned back down at me. Dolph had taken me to the cutest Italian restaurant a mile or two from where we were staying. We talked about all sorts; work; sports; things we liked and funny stories from our childhoods.

"Maybe next time we're both free, we should arrange another time?" Dolph asked.

I nodded. "Yeah, I'd like that" We exchanged our goodbyes and I kissed him on the cheek before going into my room. That went a lot better than I had expected.

HELLO IM SORRY
I'm just rlly lazy and couldn't be bothered to update I'm really sorry. But hopefully I'll be updating these a lot more frequently.

I've been toying around with an idea for a Bray Wyatt fanfic but I'm forcing myself to update this and my other book before delving into a whole nother story.
