The Hunt

I drive to the old home, where I grew up and I park. The old brown house hasn't changed a bit, lawn perfectly mowed, one floor, all attached. I step out, onto the red drive way, and I shimmy on up, to the old red door, I touch it barley keeping memories at bay, as I open it. It opens easily, unlocked and well greased. I sigh as my boots sink into rich brown carpet and I stare at the black walls, with a smirk." I'm home" I whisper to the still air and then I begin to run, eat room a blear as I cheek for him, until I get to that room, the one I first saw him in, mine. Its a mess, and I know automatically why, I can just tell. Than, most likely from that day, with Ryu. I close my eyes and I can see it. He storms in, and sees the blade in his hand, and it fly's into a wall. Furious he slams his fist into the wall, making a huge whole in it, but he doesn't care for I am gone. Then Than kicks my bed, over and over again till its just splinters, feather and string, then he kneels and curses over and over again. Standing he grabs my old favorite chair, and smash's it into my desk and he see's it, my journal. How could she forget this? He wonders to himself, its full of her. Sitting down, he simmers a bit before grabbing it out of the ruckus and opening it to the cover pages, where a note from Adriana lies

Smiling he opens it and his eyes go bleary, he can't read a word. Closing it he puts it down, and see's the blood tear, it rolls down the curve of his nose, to his chine and the one lonely tear falls on my Journal, he puts both back in the ruckus and leaves...

"What is this Than?" I whisper grabbing the once pure white journal, with one red stain, his tear. I leave, running out of the house slamming the door. I jet to the car and drive to a park, ignoring the journal I get out and pace. I must focus on my job, I must find Soterios or else I have to place, no team or even if I wish to push it a bit no family. Most likely, I have to find another light one and find him, which also means I go to there territory. I frown and nearly scream when I see him, he's here.

" Soterios" I call and he looks at me, with a frown. He glides to me, hand on his hip.

" Do I know you child of the moon?" H e asks patiently

"Does that make you a child of the sun?" I ask and he nods smiling a bit

" Do answer my question little one"

" I've seen you only once, years ago, in a little brown house with death."

" I don't understand"

" Why'd you go to help her!?!?" I demand stepping forward" Your job is to end us, not help us"

" I do my best to save people, sometimes I forget like I did that night."

"You are no savior" I growl angrily

" I am light, how can I not be a savior?"

" IF YOU WERE A SAVIOR YOU WOULD HAVE SAVED ME FROM RYU!!!"I scream at him, shoving him infuriated and scared again, just like the first day he hurt me" Where were you then?"

"Ryu?I fear I don't understand"

" Not all evil is a dark one, some are human like him.."

" What..." he stops and sputters looking at me" Your the child, the one Than was there to protect" I wince at Than's name and he chooses to ignore that fact.

" I am, but I can protect my own, have since Ryu. I mean after what Than and I did"

" You killed a human?"

" You wouldn't understand angel boy..." and I pull out my gun, and a tear falls

" Don't try it" A voice says from behind and I smile pulling out the other, turning sideways my eyes not straying from Soterios.

" Well leave you be little one, good luck I'll see you soon enough I believe..." and I watch him leave, unsure of why I don't just fill him with silver bullets.

Clearing my tear away, I get in my car, starting the engine and I pause as it purrs to life. I let him get away, heck I let him go on my own even talked to him... I must restart my hunt, angrily I pull out driving in the general direction the two men had walked. But, there long gone and I just drive around, regretting my decision to talk to him.

After a while, I force myself to stop stalling, and I go to light town....

Light town is different, it just feels happy. Though of course it's not called light town, I just don't know the name. I can practically feel all the angels staring and following me as I make my way through to the day care and park, jumping out my car I fast run inside.

"Don't!" One of them tells me, as I kneel down next to a little kid.

"I'm doing no harm angel boy, I just need to find someone they owe me answers." I say with a smile

"You can't talk to him" a new voice says from the back, but you have me if it makes you feel any better..."

"I could rip you apart boy!" I inform him

"It's Torin princess"

"Tender? You know your name means tender right?"

"Having fun, moon child?"

" I need someone, or this girl meets what makes you...."

" hello, Nokomis" Soterios says calmly "come leave our little friend alone" I smile at the little girl, and walk to the door.....
