" Which room is Gabriel Manson in?" I asked.

" Who are you ma'am? Are you family?" the receptionist/nurse asks.

" I'm his fiancée, Megan Vasquez." I lied, feeling more and more worried and agitated. " Now tell me what room is my fiancé is placed in!"

" He is in room 2480-"

" Thank you!" I said, as I ran off to find his room.

When I found room 2480, I was about to go in but I stopped short.

What if he doesn't want to see you?

What if he hates you?

What if you were the one who caused him the stroke?

I was about to walk away, when the door opens and Summer steps out... holding an empty cup.

" Megan!" she jumps in surprise.

" No, I'm the boogeyman." I said sarcastically.

Summer frowns, " You shouldn't be sarcastic right now."

I flinched at her tone, this is the first time I ever heard Summer in this tone.

" I'm sorry." I apologized, playing with my hands.

Summer smiles, " It's alright Meg... want me to tell him that you're here?"

I nodded, " That would be nice."

Summer walks back into the room, leaving the door open a bit.

She comes out a minute later, still with the empty cup.

Summer had a sad look plastered on her face.

" He doesn't want to see you right now." she says softly.

I knew it...

" It's fine." I let out a shaky laugh. " I'm going to head on home anyways, I'm tired."

I turned and walked away, feeling very sad and gloomy.

I headed off to my house, still upset as ever.

I walk up the steps to my door and knocked.

Mother answered the door after three knocks.

" Did you see him?" she asks.

" Can I come in?" I asked, wrapping my arms around myself.

" Did you see him?" she enunciated, ignoring my request to let me inside the house.

" No Mama, he-"

" Go!"

" What?" I asked, confused.

" Go patch things up with him! Go go!"

Mother pushes me away from the door and I give her a look.

" What? What was that for?!"

" Don't come back home until you and Gabriel made up!"

" What the-?! Mama!"

She slams the door, leaving me out in the cold with an aghast look plastered on my face.

" Even my family is against me!" I yelled.

I tried calling Lola, but the calls went straight to voicemail.

I called Summer and she picked up on the first ring.

" Where are you?" I asked.

" I just left the hospital, I'm on my way home... why?" she answered.
