-Carmen's POV-
I groaned and sat up, rubbing the back of my head where it had hit the floor. I looked around, waiting for my vision to adjust. I was back in my room, in the bed Thorn had gotten for me. As I started to climb out of bed, something pulled my foot back. I fell face- first onto the floor, my leg still on the bed. Somehow, I managed to push myself back onto the bed. I threw off the sheets and looked at my leg.Around my ankle, I could see a rope. Thorn's work, no doubt. I could hear breathing. Thorn was in bed, sound asleep. I saw something glowing nearby. I stretched until my hand closed around the charm bracelet. I put it to the rope, slowly beginning to scratch the rope with the magic wand charm. That was when the rope disappeared, seemingly like magic. I blinked in confusion. Had I done that? I placed the charm bracelet back carefully before I got out of bed.
"Carmen." I started as Thorn also got out of bed. "I see you escaped." She spoke so calmly, it was surprising to think what she had just done.
"Yeah. I did. And?" I snapped, a bit defensively. Thorn picked up the charm bracelet.
"I also see you've figured out what this is capable of." She lightly tapped the magic wand charm bracelet. I furrowed my brows, not knowing what she was talking about.
"Oh come on, you can't tell me you haven't figured it out yet?" I thought again about it.
Realization finally struck.
