-Carmen's POV-
That night, when Thorn and I were both in our room in our pajamas, I could tell Thorn had a plan. I stood up out of bed, accepting whatever challenge she had for me next. Thorn smirked- she had obviously been waiting for me to stand again."Well, what do you have waiting now? Would it work against Dad, too?" I taunted.
"Heh. If I need to deal with Daddy, too, I will. But for now, you're the problem." Vines sprouted from the floor, wrapping around my ankles. Well, it suited her nature- themed name, at the very least. The magic wand charm started glowing again. It was dark enough that the charm illuminated the majority of the room.
Suddenly, my confidence faded. There was a fireball in her hand- she was gonna burn me alive! I struggled against the vines, but she was still stronger than I was.
"Hah! Not so cocky now, are ya?" Thorn teased. "Too bad you don't have magic or anything..." She dangled the magic wand charm in front of me.
But she hadn't expected me to actually grab it from her.
"W- What?! Gimme that!" Thorn lunged for it, but I pulled it to my chest, protecting it from her. Finally, she backed down.
"Not so cocky now, are ya?" I asked, grinning. Not only did I have her charm bracelet now to use against her, but I had used her own line against you.
The tables had turned.
