(A/N: This book will probably be very short, I'm not good at writing mystery.)
-Carmen's POV-
"Uh, Mom?" I waved my hand in front of her face. "Hello?" As I tried to snap her out of her stupor, I couldn't help but notice the smug look on Thorn's face. I shot her an evil glare to say wipe that grin off your face. She simply shrugged and continued to look smug, to my annoyance. The charm was still glowing. Wait a minute.
"Wait a minute- lemme see that." I tried to take the charm from Thorn, but she wouldn't let go.
"No! Thief!" She knocked me to the ground. Whoa. For a little girl, she's pretty strong. I started to get up, but Thorn pinned me down by my shoulders. Mom and Dad simply watched in amusement, as though they approved of this.
"Get off of me!" I demanded, trying to shove her off.
"Get her, sweetheart!" Dad encouraged. I couldn't tell who he was talking to, but I could only assume he was cheering for Thorn, not me. I roared in rage and threw Thorn off of me before leaping on top of her. We ended up in a wrestling match. I couldn't help but admire her strength- if only I had been as strong as she was.
She threw me down.
My head hit the ground.
Everything went black.
