-Carmen's POV-
I put the charm bracelet around my wrist, feeling the power from the magic wand. I embraced it, harnessed it, prepared to use it. But, before I did, there was someone who I wanted to watch. I walked into Dad's bedroom."Hey Dad, come look." Dad got up with a groan and followed me back into my and Thorn's room. A grin split across his face when he found out what was happening. Thorn went to run, but I used her vines against her, rooting her into place.
"Fool!" Thorn yelled. She lunged for the bracelet, but I kept it out of her reach, relishing every moment of what was happening. Dad settled down on Thorn's bed, watching the scene.
"Actually, I think you're the fool here. But... there's a couple things I want to know first." I replied.
"Oh? And you think you'll get any answers out of me? Pathetic!" Thorn snapped. I shrugged to say as you wish, and a fireball appeared in my hand. I took aim, but Thorn interrupted me.
"Okay, okay, fine! Just... what do you want to know?" She asked with a sigh. The fireball disappeared.
"I had a sister. Where is she?" I asked.
"She's staying on campus with a few friends of hers." Dad answered for Thorn. Considering I trusted him more anyways, I was fine with taking it from him instead of Thorn.
"This charm bracelet. Where did you find it?" I asked.
"When I moved into your room, I found it on your dresser. It didn't look like it had been worn in a long time, so I decided to give it a new home." Thorn admitted. I nodded, acknowledging her answer.
"Alright. One more question." I said. I hadn't planned on asking it, but the memory of my blood sister brought it to my mind.
"If I let you go, will you leave us alone?"
