I wake up to the sound of my alarm clock going off at 5 a.m on a Saturday. I quickly shut it off because it's too loud and I don't want to wake my parents up yet. I decide to scroll through my phone, checking Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat and Facebook. After 20 minutes, I decide that it's time for me to get ready for my flight to Florida.

I grab my clothes and step into my bathroom. After washing my face, brushing my teeth, getting dressed and doing my hair, I find my mom in the kitchen making coffee.

"Hi, sweetheart! How did you sleep?" my mom asks while pouring me a cup of tea because I don't like coffee.

"Alright I guess." I take the cup she gave me filled with hot water and take a muffin for breakfast. While I am eating I get a phone call from my friend Sarah, who I am meeting at the airport.

"GOOD MORNING GIRL!! Are you excited for this week because it's going to be awesome!" I take the phone away from my ear so that her excited screaming doesn't kill my ear drums. "I am excited, but something tells me you are more excited than I am." I hear Sarah laugh on the other end of the line, "When are you guy leaving for the airport?" I look at the time on my phone quickly to see what the actual time is, "In about 30 minutes. Want me to text you when we get there?" "Sure, that sounds like a good plan. I'll see you soon girl!" Sarah hangs up the phone.

I get up from the table and decide to get my luggage from my room. Because we are only staying at my aunt's house in Boca Raton for a week the luggage is small. My dad calls me from my living room to say we are leaving for the airport. I make sure I grab everything I need then head out the out and get in the car.

I check my phone as soon as I get in the car and see Sarah had texted me:

Sarah: Hey! we just left 😀

Me: Yay! Warm weather here we come!!

Sarah: TAN, SUN, OCEAN, AND HOTTTT BOYS HERE WE COME!!👌🌊🌴😎

-------At the Airport---------

I am waiting for Sarah by security. She had texted me saying she should be here shortly.

"Kels, did Sarah say where she was?" my mom asks. "Yeah, she said she was in the parking garage and they would be right here" I responded to my mom.

5 minutes later I see Sarah walking around the corner. When we see each other, we run and give each other a tight hug. Then I give her mom and dad a hug.

Sarah and I met our freshman year in college. We were both in the same group in orientation and ended up being roommates as well. However, both Sarah and I decided to transfer out because she weren't really enjoying it. Sarah moved somewhere closer to home while I moved to a school and hour north of my house in New Jersey. However, because Sarah and I only lived an hour away from each other, we were able to keep in touch.

"Alright, are you girls ready" Sarah's mom asked us. "Absolutely! Ready Sarah?" I ask. "Definitely!" Sarah and I give a hug to both of our parents one more time and then we are off to the security check point. We see our parents standing there waiting for us to get through security. Once Sarah and I go through we smile and wave goodbye to our parents.

Our plane is called for boarding as soon as we get to the gate. Once we find our seats Sarah and I take a selfie and I post it on Instagram "Got that spring breaker vibe going. Off to paradise with my main." After tagging Sarah in the picture the flight attended comes on the speaker system and tells us to shut off all electronic devices. I look out the window as we take off and whisper to myself, "Florida here I come."
