Finding Love in Florida

Chapter 5

Kelsey's POV

When Sarah and I got home my aunt was still not home from work, so we decided to shower and watch a movie. It was 7pm and my aunt still wasn't home, she sent us a text letting us know she wouldn't be home till 11pm because she was going out with friends. She told us where we could find some money to buy dinner for tonight. Sarah and I were trying to figure out where to go when I got a text from Austin.

Austin: Hey! It was really great meeting you today. I had a lot of fun :)

Me: Hey! It was great meeting you too. Sarah and I both had a great time. Thanks for letting us hang out with you!

Austin: Not a problem, so what are you up to tonight?

Me: Not much, my aunt won't be home till 11 so Sarah and I are stuck finding a place to eat out.

Austin: Cool.

Me: Not really...

Austin: Why what's wrong?

Me: We don't know where to eat around here and even if we Google it we don't have a car to drive us there. We really don't want to call an Uber just to pick up food.

Austin: Gotcha.

Me: Yeah.

After 10 more minutes of looking restaurants on Google, Sarah and I finally settled on a small Italian place about 15 minutes away by walking. We grabbed our bags and were about to leave when my phone started ringing. "Who is it?" Sarah asked. "It's Austin." I replied looking at her to see her eyebrows moving up and down. "Stop that! He probably just wants his shirt back." I told Sarah as I dragged my finger across the screen to answer the phone.

Me: Hello?

Austin: Kelsey! Hey, it's Austin!

Me: Hey! What's up?

Austin: Not much I was just wondering if you and Sarah grabbed dinner yet.

Me: Oh, no we haven't. We actually were just on our way to some Italian place thats only a 15 minutes away.

Austin: Oh okay.

I heard some mumbling in the back ground and figured he was watching TV in his room or something. There was a couple seconds of silence on the phone before Austin spoke again.

Austin: Would you mind if Alex and I joined you guys for dinner? We can pick you up if you'd like?

Me: Ummm, yeah sure, i-if that's what you guys would like?

I hear Austin let out a laugh on the other end of the phone.

Austin: Yes, that is what we would like to do.

Me: Ok, let me just make sure Sarah's okay with it.

I looked at Sarah and told her what Austin had said and she was totally for it. I told Austin who said he would be her in 5 minutes to pick us up after I sent him my aunt's address. Sarah and I were just sitting on the couch in the living room while we were waiting for the guys to come. I noticed a look on Sarah's face. I've never seen a look like that on her before so I started thinking, then all of the sudden it hit me like a ton of bricks.

"OH MY GOD, YOU LIKE ALEX!!!" I said to Sarah. She jumped because my outburst came out of no where. "Kelsey, oh my gosh. Why did you scream that?!" Sarah spoke frightened. "Because it just hit me and you've been keeping it a secret from me!" I said hitting her with a pillow that was on the couch. "Well I only found out a couple of hours ago. You never mentioned to me how cute he was." Sarah looked from me to the floor slightly blushing. "Aww, girl don't be embarrassed, to be honest yes Alex is cute but-" Sarah interrupted me. "BUT you like Austin."
