Finding Love in Florida

Chapter 4

Robert's POV

I really like Kelsey. I think her personality is super cute. Even though I have barely talked to her, I can tell she's super sweet. It sucks that she had to meet Austin first. I had a feeling I should have went to get that football after it hit her in the head, but because Austin was the one who threw it we all made him go over an apologize. When Kelsey came back from her walk with Austin with his t-shirt on, I'm not going to lie, I was jealous and clearly Austin notice. I think Austin wants Kelsey all to himself, but she's fair game as far as I'm concerned. I heard some of the conversation Sarah and Kelsey had. If Kelsey doesn't think she's beautiful then she needs to get her eyes checked.

Alex's POV

I see how Austin looks at Kelsey. I don't think I've seen him look at any girl like that. At the same time I see the way Kelsey looks at Austin. I haven't known her long enough, but it definitely looks like she likes Austin too. After all Sarah did say she had a crush on Austin, but lets be real, what fan of Austin's doesn't have a crush on him. I really like Kelsey's friend Sarah though. She is so hot and has a great personality.

Zach's POV

I don't know what's going one between Kelsey and Austin, but Austin does seem happy. I mean they would make a cute couple and Kelsey seems like a nice girl. She seems chill, but there's just something about her that makes me worried for Austin. I don't know what's going through Robert's brain, but I see him eyeing Kelsey every chance he gets. Even Austin is picking up on it.

Sarah's POV

I can't believe I am in Florida and hanging out with Austin Mahone, his crew and my best friend! It's insane. I can see the way Kelsey looks at Austin. I've seen how she looks/ talks to guys, but this is on a completely different level. I see the connection they both have, I just don't understand why Kelsey can't see it or believe that it can happen. Before we leave I am determined to get her to go on at least one date with Austin and if that means I have to get Alex involved, then I will.

Austin's POV

My eyes are locked on Kelsey's and Kelsey's eyes are locked on mine. We can't seem to look away from each other, even though I am in the middle of a football game with the guys. Kelsey's seemed a little more upset than she did before we started playing. I see Kelsey's mouth move, but I couldn't hear what she said. Clearly it was something Sarah didn't agree with because she was just shaking her head and said something to her. I don't think I've ever felt a connection so strong before, let alone with a fan. I need to ask this girl out before she leaves and goes back to Jersey.

Kelsey's POV

The sun was setting and Sarah and I were still on the beach with the guys. I check me phone to see what time it was, 5:30pm. I looked at Sarah and told her we should go because my aunt would be getting back from work soon. We got up and gave everyone a hug goodbye. I went to give Austin his shirt before we left.

"No, keep it. You'll need it to walk back home."

I smiled at him because he was still being so kind, "But then how will you get it back?"

Austin gave me a small smile, "Give me your phone."

I unlock my phone and hand it over to him. I watch him tap on my phone then hand it back over to me. "I'll text you when I want my shirt back" he says smiling at me.

"Ok, if that's what you want. But don't forget if you don't claim it by Friday, it's mine." I warn him.

He laughed at my warning, "Maybe that's what I want so I can see you if and when I come to New Jersey."

"Yeah, ok like you'd find time in your schedule to randomly come to New Jersey."

Austin gives me a hug, but before we separate I hear him say something I wasn't expecting. "I would, if it meant I would be spending the time with you." Austin whispers in my ear. I pull away from him, not knowing how to respond to what he just said. "I'll see you around Kelsey." And with that I walked away from Austin Mahone. Maybe Sarah was right, maybe he does really really like me.

Austin's POV

When I told Kelsey I would come to Jersey just to visit her she was in total shock, I could tell. She must not get that kind of attention at home or from her boyfriend. Actually, I don't even know if Kelsey has a boyfriend. I never thought to ask. I mean she never brought up a boyfriend when we went on the walk, but she does wear that heart necklace. "Way to go Austin, you want to ask this girl out and you don't even know if she's taken or not. That might be something you should now before you make a fool out of yourself." I think to myself.

I watched as Kelsey and Sarah walked off the beach. The boys and I decided to stay here for a little while longer. After 15 minutes it started getting cold so we drove back to the house. When we are in the house I was hungry so I walked into the kitchen. When I close the refrigerator door I see Alex, Robert and Zach just standing there looking at me.

"What? What did I do?"

"Nothing, except you have a big crush on that girl Kelsey and you only met her this afternoon." Alex states plainly.

"Is it that obvious?" I look down at the counter.

"Well yeah, it's obvious to everyone except Kelsey." Robert says.

Alex, Zach and I look at Robert confused. "I over heard her conversation with Sarah while we were playing football. She doesn't think a guy like you could like a girl like her."

"A guy like me? You mean a pop star can't like a normal everyday college girl?"

Robert nodded, "Yeah, at least that what it sounded like when Kelsey said it to Sarah."

I shook my head not believing what I was hearing. "Do you think I have a chance with her? I really do like--" Zach cuts me off.

"But how do you know she's not just some fan Austin? How do you know she won't just use you for money or whatever?"

"I don't think she's that kind of girl Zach. Look, when I went to get the football from her she knew right away who I was, but she didn't scream or ask for a picture. She was shy and calm about the entire thing, she even cracked a couple of jokes. And when we went on that walk we talked a lot about her, but she also wanted to hear me talk about my life. It wasn't just all about her or all about my career. I actually got to know her for her. I feel like she is the one fan who wants to know me for me, not just me for my singing. She makes me happy and more...alive."

All of the boy just looked at me, shocked at what I had just said to them. Alex was the first one to speak, "Well if that is how you feel about this girl after one day, I'd say go for it. You wouldn't want her to slip through your fingers."

Zach agreed with Alex, "I've never seen you talk about any girl like that before. Why not go for it. You got her number right?"

I nodded, "But there's just one problem. I don't know if she's single or not."

"Wait, so your telling me you hung out with this girl for hours, a girl you have a crush on. You take a walk on the beach, just the two of you, and not once did you ask about a boyfriend or any kind of relationship?"

I shake my head to say no. What am I gonna do?
