Robert's POV

I was talking to Joe and watch Austin and Zach play pool. I heard Zach say to Austin, "There are other fish in the sea." Their probably talking about Kelsey. I feel bad for Austin, I really do. I haven't seen him like this about any girl. I mean, I know Kelsey is special, but for once maybe Kelsey isn't in to Austin. I was snapped out of my thoughts when I heard the doorbell ring, "I'll get it! It's probably just the food." Everyone went about their business as I walked to the door. I had money in my hand that we owed the guy so when I opened the door I just immediately stuck my arm out to give the guy the money. The only problem is that it wasn't the delivery guy, it was Kelsey.

"I thought you were the delivery guy with the food." I said to Kelsey. "It's ok. I mean I could just take the $50 and leave if you want me too. No one has to know." I felt my eyes widen, "Oh,no, no. I'm sorry, I-" "Robert chill, I was just kidding." Kelsey said as she laughed. "Alright, good. Well come on in." I laughed lightly as I stepped aside letting Kelsey walk in the house. She was looking around the house, but seemed a little distracted by something other than the house. "Is everything ok?" I asked her as I took to jacket off of her because it was wet from the rain. "Oh, yeah just looking around the house. It's a nice house by the way. I let out another laugh, "Yeah, I guess it's alright. So do you want to come and join everyone else?"  Kelsey turns around to look at me, "Oh, no, umm I was just wondering if umm." I watched Kelsey as she figured out how to place the idea she was thinking of into words.

"Look, I know you guys have a thing going on, but umm-" "You want to know if Austin is available to talk right?" I cut her off.  "Well...yeah...kinda...I don't know." I looked at her confused, "What do you mean, you don't know?" She looked at me a little lost, "Well, I was driving and the next thing I know I was here ringing the door bell. I didn't exactly have intensions of coming her because-" "Because you know Austin really likes you and you don't want to get his hopes up." Kelsey nods her head then looks at her feet. "I'll go get him. You can sit on the stairs if you'd like." She looks at me in shock, "What. Robert no!" I hear her say as I leave her in the foyer to get Austin.

When I get to the game room I call for Austin, "Austin!" When I get in the room I see he is turned around looking at me, "It's for you." Everyone in the room looks at him, but he looks back with a confused face. With that Austin left for foyer. I walked over by Zach who was still at the pool table, "I'll finish the game for him, something tells me he's going to be a while." "Who was it?" I hear Alex ask from across the room. "It was Kelsey." I say talking the shot Austin was setting up to hit.

Austin's POV

I just looked at her. I didn't exactly know what to do, considering I thought she wasn't going to come over. I wonder what changed her mind. "What are you doing here? I-I thought y-you..." I couldn't even get my words out I was so shocked to see her, but somehow Kelsey knew what I was going to say. "Yeah, I know. Me too." I decided to sit next to her on the stairs. I don't think either one of us knew what to say. I looked at her. She was just staring at her fingers while she played with them. I guess she does that when she's nervous. "Are you ok? You seem, um...nervous." I asked her trying to get a conversation going.

She looked at me for a second and stopped playing with her fingers. "Honestly...I don't know. I feel anxious, yet nervous, but I also feel kind of down yet a little embarrassed." "Embarrassed? What are you embarrassed about?" I looked at her confused. "For how I acted the other day, um...when you told me..." her voice trailed out. I nodded my head letting her know I understood what she was saying. "Don't worry about it. I get it-" "No, I don't think you do." She cut me off. I was going to say something, but that's when I saw Robert, Zach and everyone else in the mirror behind Kelsey, trying to listen on our conversation, that would explain why it got so quite.
