Kelsey's POV

It's been 2 days since I've seen or even talked to Austin. I told Sarah what happened. She tried to persuade me into giving him another chance, but I haven't been able to bring myself to say yes. Everything has been working out for her and Alex though. I'm happy about that, Alex is a nice guy. He even texted me asking how I was doing yesterday. Right now I am sitting by the pool trying to get tan. I was enjoying the warmth of the sun when suddenly something stood in front of me. I open my eyes to see Sarah and Alex standing in front of me.

"How can I help the lovely couple today?" I say closing my eyes again. "I told Sarah that the guys and I are having a little get together at the house and we both think you should come." Alex explained ignoring my comment. My eyes shot open looking at the two of them, "You're joking right?" Both of the shake their heads no. I decide to collect my things and start to head back to my aunt's house. I was hoping they wouldn't follow me home, unfortunately they did. "Come on Kels, it will be fun! They have a game room and everything. Please come." Sarah begged me. "I actually want to spend time with my aunt tonight, but if you want to you are more than welcome to go." I said continuing to walk toward the house. I hear Sarah start whispering something to Alex. I didn't stop to listen, I just kept walking. Once I got back to my aunt's I dropped my stuff on the staircase and decided to lay down on swinging patio chair out back trying to relax. About 20 minutes later I was close to falling asleep when I heard the glass door open and close. I didn't bother to look to see who it was.

"I'm not going tonight Sarah. You and Alex can go and have a good time." There wasn't a response. I open my eye and see no one standing next to me, but when I turn around I see the one person I didn't want to see. "Austin..." I whisper to myself. He's just standing by the door, looking at me. "What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be at a studio or something?" I asked him as I turn around to lay back down. "I don't go to the studio every day, I do some work at the house, but I came here because I wanted to talk to you." Austin says as he walk and sits by me in a different chair so I can see him. We both just look at each other for a minute, "Well, you wanted to talk so..." Austin clears his throat, "Oh...right. Um, well basically I wanted to talk to you about the other night." He says, his voice is shaking. I sighed at looked at Austin, "Look, I would rather not talk about that. It has already been a stressful day."

Austin lets out a heavy sigh, "Look, I really need to get this off of my chest. So can you please just listen for five minutes. Then I will leave and you can relax." I look at him for a couple of seconds. I see his eyes looking at me begging just to have five minutes. I nod my head and sit up as he continues to talk. "Look Kelsey,  from the moment I laid eyes on you I knew I had to know you. I didn't know how I was going to do it, but I was determined to know you. When I met you on the beach your smile was the first thing I noticed. It was so bright and warm and then I saw your eyes and how much they sparkled. I was so nervous to talk to you every chance I got, but I some how got the guts to ask you to go on that walk and to go out to dinner with you and I loved every minute of it. I have never met a girl that makes me feel the way you make me feel. Every time I think about you I smile, every time I hear your name I blush and every time I see you I get butterflies. No one has ever made me feel like that, which is why I said what I said that other night."

I didn't know what to say to him. No one has ever said those things to me. I didn't even know I could have that affect on a guy, let alone him. We just started at each other as he continued talking. "I hoped that you would say yes to being my girlfriend, and give us a try, but you didn't. You just shut me out. I don't know what your past relationships were like, but I promise you I will not treat you how your past boyfriends have treated you. If you were my girlfriend, you would be treated like a princess. I would treat you with respect, send you gifts to show how much I love you, even comfort you durning hard times no matter where we were or the time difference. Most of all you being my girlfriend would have made me the luckiest guy in the world because I would have had the sweetest, most gorgeous angel in the entire world by my side." We looked at each other for a couple of minutes. I think he was waiting for me to say something, but I couldn't.

Before I knew it Austin was getting up from the chair he was sitting in, "Well, that's all I had to say. The guys and I would really like you to come tonight, but I understand if you don't want to, I'll text you the address in case you change your mind. Thanks for hearing me out Kelsey." Austin hung his head as he walked to the glass door behind me.  Before he could open the door I decided to speak the one thing that was on my mind. "Austin?" He turns around and looks at me shocked for speaking.  "I'm no angel, you don't know me that well." I speak as I look down at the concrete. I hear him let out a sigh, "You are in my eyes." I look at him to see he's just looking at me. Soon he turns around and heads into the house. I lay back down on the swing and start thinking about everything he just said.

Austin's POV

Sarah and Alex are cuddled on the couch watching TV. They look at me when I walk in from the patio. "So how did it go?" Alex spoke as Sarah put the TV on mute. "She listened, but didn't say much. I poured my heart out. The ball is in her court now." Alex nodded his head then looked at Sarah. "Look Austin, she's not the best at expressing her feelings or trusting people with her heart for that matter. Just give her some time to think about this. If I know anything about Kelsey it's that she likes to think things through before making a huge decision. And yes saying that she will be your girlfriend is a huge decision for her considering all the 'baggage' you come with."  I nod my head taking in every word that Sarah said. "You did everything you could dude, I'm sure she'll come around." Alex spoke. With that Alex and I said goodbye to Sarah and left the house to head back home.
