Finding Love in Florida

Chapter 2

Kelsey's POV

We land on the runway three hours later. Sarah and I caught up on the plane ride about what has been going on in our lives. I told her about this kid Robbie who wouldn't stop bothering me. All I did was give the kid a ride to school and he was so convinced we had this connection.

I call my aunt when we started walking in the airport. When we found my aunt she gave me a big hug. "Aunt Leslie, it's so nice to see you! Omg, I'm so excited to be here! This is Sarah by the way." Sarah gives my aunt a hug, "It's so nice to meet you. Thank you for letting me come!" "Not a problem sweetheart, you can call me Leslie. It's nice to meet one of Kelsey's friends. I'm so glad you guys could come" my aunt says. We head over to her car and put our luggage in the trunk. As we drive to Aunt Leslie's house she tells us about where she lives and what the atmosphere is like.

When we get to her house she shows us where we can sleep. There's a king size bed with a tv, two end tables, a dresser and a closet. "You girls don't mind sharing a bed right?" my aunt asks. "No, not at all. It's a big enough bed" Sarah tells my aunt as we set out luggage down. After showing us the rest of the house my aunt leaves to go to work. Sarah and I decide to unpack then go to the beach.

We change into our bikini's (Sarah's is black and mine is purple) and apply some tanning oil before we leave. Since the beach was a block away from my aunt's house we didn't have a lot of walking to do. Once we found an area to sit down Sarah and I decided to see how cold the water was.

"OMG IT'S SO COLD!" I screech as the water hits my ankles. Sarah laughs then runs into the water after she gets waist deep then runs out of the water, "OMG you were right!" I laugh at Sarah as she attempts to get out of the water fast. "Hey, why don't we walk down there and see if we can find any seashells to put in my aunt's house?" I ask Sarah. "That's a great idea! Let's go!" Sarah takes my hand and pulls me down the beach.

As we walk down the beach we pass four boys playing football. "I swear if one of those boys hit me with that ball.." Sarah whispers so they don't hear her. "You'll do what?" I ask Sarah. We just look at each other and laugh because we both know she would do nothing. As soon as we stop laughing something catches Sarah's eye in the water, "Oohh, I think I found one Kels!" As I go to see what Sarah was looking at I hear a voice from behind me. "Heads up!" and something hits the back of my head.

I turn around and see the four boys who were playing football looking at us. I look and see a football a couple feet away from me. "I'm guessing that's what hit my head" I whisper to myself. I go to pick up the football as I see one of the boy approaching me from the corner of my eye. I hear the guy say "Hey, sorry about that. One of the guys over there has horrible aim." I let out a little laugh and turn around to see the one and only Austin Mahone in front of me.

"OH. MY. GOD" I look at him in shock. Shaking my head I hand him the football and try to remain calm, "It's not a problem, don't worry about it. I don't have a concussion or anything so your safe." He let out a laugh and smiled at me. "Plus I used to play soccer so getting hit in the head with another ball or two won't kill me." Austin let out a laugh, I was confused why he was laughing at first but then I realized what I said, "Oh, wow, that did not come out right. I'm so sorry" I let out a little laugh.

"It's cool. Don't worry about it, I'm happy your ok. I'm Austin." He sticks his hand out for a hand shake. I stick out my hand shaking his, "Yeah, I know who you are. I'm Kelsey" I smile shyly at him. "Oh, so your a mahomie?" he asks curiously. "I might be one."

After a couple seconds of silence I turn around and see Sarah further down the beach, still looking in the water for seashells. Dropping my hand from his, "Well, I should probably get back to my friend and you should probably get back to your friends. I think they might be getting a little impatient. It was nice to meet you Austin." Austin turns around to see his friends and I start to walk away. "Wait, Kelsey!" I hear Austin call. I turn around curious to see what he wants, "Yeah?" Austin scratched the back of his neck, "Would you and your friend like to hang out with us later? We're probably going to be out here all day so if you want to join us, you can."

I was screaming on the inside. The Austin Mahone wants me and Sarah to hang out with him. I'm pretty sure I slightly blushed when I said, "Umm, yeah sure. Let me just check with her to make sure she's ok with it." "Ok cool. You know where to find us" Austin said with a smile. "Yup" I gave him a big smile then turned around and started walking towards Sarah,

Austin's POV

I watched as she walked away toward her friend. She was even more beautiful up close. I saw her when she first went in the ocean and thought she was beautiful then. Now I just think she's absolutely gorgeous. I was snapped out of my thought when I heard Alex behind me. "So are you going to keep playing or are you just gonna stare at the girl you just hit with a football all day?" Alex and I just laughed and we walked back to the rest of the guys. "Alright lets get this game going" Robert clapped his hands together. "And this time Robert and I will kick your ass" Zach says pointing to Alex and I. "Ok, bring it on" I say, but not before taking one last look at Kelsey.
