Maki and Nico sit in the former's bedroom. Nico watches Maki as she does her homework. It's been three weeks since they were both released from the hospital. Not much has happened since then. The other Muse members visit occasionally, but mostly Maki and Nico have just been spending time together. Lots and lots of time together.
"Are you almost done, Maki-chan?" Nico sighs as she flops down onto Maki's bed.
"Not really." Maki says, not taking her eyes off of the book in front of her.
Nico sighs loudly and rolls over, wrapping her arms around Maki. She nuzzles the girl's shoulder and gets as close as possible. Maki rolls her eyes and keeps doing her homework. Or at least she tries to, until Nico steals her pencil.
"Nico-chan!"
Nico jumps off of the bed, holding the pencil above her head and pouting.
"Pay attention to me, Maki-chan!"
"I told you, I will once my homework is finished."
"But you're taking forever!"
"Nico, give me my pencil or I can't finish my homework. If I can't finish my homework then I can't turn it in tomorrow, and if I don't turn it in I'll get a bad grade. If I get a bad grade, my parents won't let me hang out with you anymore. Now you wouldn't like that, would you Nico-chan?"
"I guess not..."
Nico pouts and hands Maki the pencil. The latter throws the pencil onto her book before pulling her girlfriend in for a kiss. She wraps her arms around Nico's waist and kisses her. Nico wraps her arms around Maki's neck and smiles. The younger pulls away and kisses Nico's forehead.
"It won't be much longer, Nico-chan. I promise."
"Okay, Maki-chan. Just hurry up."
Maki giggles and lays back down on her bed to finish her homework. Nico lays down next to her and waits impatiently.
