Nozomi Tojo stands at the door waiting for Maki to open the door. She knocks again, a little bit harder than the first time. When Maki still doesn't answer, she pulls out her cell phone and calls her junior.
"I don't feel like talking Nozomi." Maki answers.
"Maki-chan..."
"I'm fine Nozomi."
"What happened between you and Nicocchi?"
"I really don't want to talk about it Nozomi."
"Maki-chan. I know you're sitting in front of the door. If you let me in we can talk about all of this."
"But I don't want to talk about it!"
Nozomi shakes her head. "You're as stubborn as Elicchi, Maki-chan."
"So?"
"Talking about it will help Maki-chan. Trust me."
Maki sighs and hangs up. She brushes herself off as she stands and turns to open the door. Why am I doing this? Maki shakes her head and opens the door. Nozomi smiles at her and walks in. She walks to the couch as Maki closes the door. The older girl sits on the couch while Maki sits in the chair across from her.
"Now. What happened Maki-chan?"
"Nothing. It was nothing."
"Maki-chan..."
"Alright you want to know what happened?! Let me tell you what happened!"
Maki sits at the piano bench in the music room, trying to come up with a new song. She sighs and lays her head on the keys. A door opens making her jump. Nico Yazawa walks in the door, looking nervous and a bit sad as well. Maki stands up and steps away from the bench.
"What's wrong, Nico-chan?"
"I... I have to tell you something Maki-chan."
"What is it, Nico-chan?"
"I love you Maki-chan..."
Maki stares at her senior. She's had feeling for Nico for awhile, but she never expected that the older girl would feel the same way. Let alone that she would confess such feelings the day before she graduates. Nico looks up at Maki, tears streaming down her face.
"Do you love me too, Maki-chan?"
"Of course I do Nico-chan!"
Nico runs to Maki, hugging her tightly. Maki wraps her arms around the smaller girl, crying happily. The two separate and look at each other before sharing a slow kiss. As they separate for a second time, Nico kisses Maki's cheek before stepping backwards.
"I have to go now Maki-chan. I... I'll see you tomorrow!"
"And then she ran away before I could say goodbye! The next day I tried talking to her but every time I got close she would walk away. After graduation I expected to see her, that she'd stick around or something but she didn't and when I went to see her, her mom told me she was already gone. She left without saying anything! After saying she loved me... she just... she just... left me!"
Maki falls to her knees and buries her face in her hands. The tears she'd been holding back start falling and her shoulders shake. Nozomi runs over to comfort the younger girl, but Maki stands up and runs before she has the chance to say anything.
"Maki-chan!"
Maki runs out the front door. Nozomi runs to follow her, but by the time she leaves the house, Maki is nowhere to be seen. The older girl calls for Maki but there's no answer. She pulls out her cell phone, starting a group call with all the other Muse members. Before anyone can say anything, Nozomi tells them to be quiet. She explains what happened and asks the others for help finding Maki. The other girls agree and the search for Maki begins.
