Ruth's POV

I pace back and forth through the living room, pulling my hair, waving my hands around, things like that. I can't handle stress, I have really bad anxiety, and it just so happens I took the rest of my pills while I was playing that stupid game. Matt is still on the phone with the police, trying to get them to arrange a search party. Where the fuck could they be?! Are they inside that old
mansion? Have they been kidnapped by those people we saw there? Are they dead? I here Matt hang up. I run over. "Are they sending a search party?" I ask hopefully. Matt shook his head grimly.
What?!?!
"They said that Rue and Charlie haven't been missing long enough to send a party." I'm practically tearing my hair out. "Ruth! Calm down! It'll be fine, they've only been gone five hours, for all we know they could have walked to town and got something to eat at that cafe thats open all night. The Cops said if there not back by morning, they'll send a party." Matt says, holding my shoulders. I sigh. He's probably right, they'll be back soon. But why wouldn't she call?
Her phone went flat. Nothing more. They walked to the Cafe, bought some food, and her phone went flat when they started to walk back. There fine. They'll be back soon.
I take a few deep breaths, and go sit down on the couch next to Ash who is comforting Sav. My phons vibrates, I have a text.
Its probably Rue
I pick up my phone, and my heart misses a beat.

Charlie's POV

What the fuck happened.
Why are we here? What did we do?
We've been in here for hours, the sun has already risen. im ready to have a breakdown.
We need to find a way out.
I walk over to Rue, who's sitting on the mouldy mattress in the corner. Shes been crying. "We have to find a way out." I say, my voice a little croaky. She looks up at me, then slowly scans around the room. "Rue?" Shes hushes me, and continues scanning the room. She stands up, walks over to the desk, and slides it across the floor until its pushed up against the door. "Rue, what are you doing?" I ask, confused. She ignores me. Rue walks over to the bed and pulls the mattress onto the floor. She pulls the bed frame up against the wall, under the tiny window. "Rue! Tell me what the fuck your doing!" I snap, growing frustrated at her ignoring me. She looks at me. "Escaping." She turns her attention back to her escape plan. "Come help me up." I walk over, excitment pumping through me.
We're getting out!
I help her keep her balance as she climbs up the bed frame like a ladder.
She stands on her toes on the very top of the thin bed frame, I have to stand on the little stool in order to hold her ankles. "Wait!" I say "What about the bars?" She looks down at me, smiling a little, then looks back up at the bars. She grabs on of the thin, rusted bars, and tugs it. Nothing. She pulls harder, and eventually manages to rip the old bar from the window frame, nearly falling backwards from the force of her pulling. She tosses the bar behind her, and does the same to the rest of the bars. Unfortunately, there are still tiny, sharp little stumps left over, which promises pain when we crawl through the tiny window. Rue pulls the last bar off, and uses it to smash through the glass. She clears away as much glass as she can, then pulls herself through the little gap. She helps me through the window, and I wince in pain as the remaining centimetres of the rusty bars tear down my legs, leaving small bloody smears on the window pane. I stumble as I stand up on the slippery, dew covered grass. Rue and I giggle, her pulling me to my feet, and us both still holding hands as we both run towards the tree line, still giggling uncontrollably.
Bang
We freeze. We look behind us, and my heart skips a beat. The doors of the Mansion are wide open.
