“Ohhhh, mystery man.” jess purred.

“So you've given me a name.”

“Not sure that's exactly a name, but since I don't know you actual name sure. Although, if I were to actually give you a name it would have to beeee.... Humphrey. Yes. Mr. Humphrey.” I said.

“Let's just stick with Mystery Man.” He said not liking the name.

“Dee, I think you should explain to the listeners. I'm sure they are just as intrigued as I WOULD be if I already didn't know.” Jess said taking revenge.

“mmm.... naw. It's boring.” I passed on her suggestion.

“Than I'll tell. Two nights ago Dee received a mysterious call.... was is a stalking killer? We will never know!... still don't know actually. He seemed to know her real name and her private line number. They talked all night about nonsense she refuses to tell me. In the end arranging a meeting that he mysteriously appears at without us knowing only to mysteriously disappear from. Oooooooooow.” Jess said with a creepy voice.

“HOOOKAY! You just took that to a whole nother level of creepy.” I said looking at her in utter disbelief.

“Just trying to set the eerie mood.” She shrugged.

“How the hell do we still have listeners?” I questioned.

“Oh because our failure love life far to musing and in a odd way comforting to others.” Jess sighed.

“Sorry I didn't call.” Mystery Man said.

“It's alright. I mean. You called... eventually. That's all that counts, but uh.... can you maybe make this call later?” I pleaded.

“As you wish.” He quoted the princess bride which happened to be one of my favorites.

Jess pressed the off button.

“So listeners tell us. Is Dee's mystery man friend or FOE? Call in with you opinions at 555-7787 after this short break.” Jess said smirking at me.

I blushed.

The more I thought about him the more he seemed familiar to me in some way that I was sure I knew. Was it his voice? Or perhaps the way he said some of the things he did. With a certain confidence reigning in his tone..... it was all familiar, but I just couldn't pinpoint WHO!
