It was cold and rainy so I dressed in dark blue skinnies with with a love sleeve white shirt and a knitted sleevless gray sweater and a gray beanie with some white shoes. I grabbed my umbrella that was clear and cute little whales on it and met Jess at the door. On our drive there all I could do was think about the blasted nightmare!... or was it a dream? NO! It couldn't have. That would mean it would've been good! And....and pleasant! And.... that would mean! That if it were a dream... it would mean that he is one of my inner most desires. Something that I long for, but keep locked away... deep deep away!.... Oh my. You know... Let's just call it a nightmare. Because there is no way what-so-ever I could li... l-l-like.... like him. Tom Feltn. No, just... no. Yeah, see. I feel better already!

“What are you so smiley about?” Jess laughed looking over at me as she pulled into the station.

“Oh nothing. Today is just such a wonderful day.” I sighed contently

Jess looked at me as if I were nuts and than looked out to the rain as a clash of thunder boomed the atmosphere. I only smiled more and grabbed my umbrella. It was a kiddie umbrella but Jess an I managed to both fit under it laughing at how silly we must've looked with the umbrella that we loved so much.

I must've lost my smile along the way walking through the doors of the station because as soon as I did all I could do was frown and feel the eyes of our co-workers burning into me.

“uhh... Jess.... what DID happen when I left that day?” I asked in an uneasy whisper as we walked into the studio.

“Well, Tom laughed... a lot.” Jess shrugged.

“Why is everyone staring at me?” I asked as I closed the door of the sound proof part of our studio.

“I don't know. It was odd for you to run in a panic.... and.. well... the boss was pretty-”

“Pissed?” I asked.

“I was gonna say indifferent...” Jess said suggesting the word change.

“I'm not surprised.... you don't think he will fire me, do you?” I asked getting worried.

“To be honest... I don't know. It depends on today's ratings. Yesterday was Cee Cee and Knight's show... So those ratings won't count for the affect of the rating during ours because our shows are different. They just share the same station.” Jess said saddened.

“Yea, I understand.” I said trying to fight back the tears. I didn't want to lose this job. It was truly all I had going for me.

“Listen, I'm going to go get some water. You want anything before we start?” Jess asked.

“No I'm good.” I said grimly.

“Hey cheer up. People love us.” She winked and left the room.

A few moments later I received a text from Joey.

'Hey, something wrong?'

'Damn that child... she text you?'

'lol. No hiding things from you.'

'It will go great! Cheer up chap!'

'British much? Haha. I've got to go. Fingers crossed. XoXo'

A few moments later I received his last text.

'Break a leg toots!'
