"Hello?"
"Congradulations." the voice of my mystery man came.
"Tha- wait.... for what?" I asked him.
How could he possibly know... unless...
"Are you here?" I asked looking through the glass door of the walk way I had went out to for some quiet.
"Yes." I could hear the michivious smile in his tone.
"Well, where?! Come out in the walk way! I wanna finally meet you!" I said getting excited.
"Naaah, I don't feel like it." He said
I searched for anyone who could possibly be on their cell talking to me. I saw no one.
"Are we ever gong to meet?" I sighed sadly turning my back to the glass doors.
He was silent.
With each moment of silence my heart beat quickened.
"It's... complicated." He finally said, though I wish he wouldn't have.
"What do you mean 'it's complicated'?" I asked holding back my rage.
"There... is just a lot to it." He said struggling for words.
"That's so stupid!" I finally burst. "Worried I'm not going to meet your expectations or something?!"
"That's not it! You know that!" He yelled back.
"Than what is it?" I snapped.
He was silent again. Trying to find words I'm guessing. I wasn't going to let him though.
"If we aren't going to ever meet than maybe we should stop this... stop this useless playful banter... stop getting my hopes up just to be let down. Stop leading each other on." I said.
I could hear him arguing as I pulled the phone away from my ear and hit the end button.
I sighed leaning against the glass. Everything is always too good to be true with adventures like these.
I wanted to just turn around and go back into the party, but I couldn't knowing he was in there... my heart wasn't going to let go.... as a matter of fact I wasn't going to let it let go.
I rushed back into the station bumping into Tom who was just coming out of the washroom. He looked upset, but I wasn't going to ask him about it. Last time I tried to figure out what was wrong.... well... you know what happened.
“Hey, I need to talk to you and Jess.” I said taking hold of his hand and pulling him along against his will to find Jess.
“Delilah, what is it?” Jess whined as I pulled her from the party to the door way where I had previously been.
“The other night when you two went out who was with you?” I asked.
Jess and Tom looked at each other oddly.
“I need to know! Mystery Man was with you!” I said taking hold of Jess's shoulders.
“Are you serious?!” Jess asked.
“Yea, so to figure out who he is I need to know who was with you!” I said.
“I don't know, Delilah. This is starting to get a bit more stalkerish.” Jess said uneasy.
“Yea, I agree.” Tom added his two cents in.
“No, listen! We know him, Jess! He is here right now!” I said
“What?! Like in the station?” Jess asked astonished.
“Yes! So tell me who were you with?” I asked.
“We were with Emma, Rupert, and Dan.” Tom said not looking phased at all by what we were getting all worked up about.
“wait... we ran into Jordan!” Jess said wide eyed.
“What?!”
Jordan was the station's tech guy. Anything went wrong and he was there. Thing was he was distant and kept to himself a lot of the time... which is why it made such great sense!
“OMG! You seriously think it might be him?!” Jess freaked.
“Who else?! It would make sense as to why we didn't realize these things. He is so quiet we never looked to him and OMG! I seriously think it might be him!” I said not being able to hold my grin back as I peered through the glass at Jordan.
He was cute, without a doubt. He held a edgy side to him. He had tattoos and gauges. His hair was a side swept brown mess that fell in his eyes, which totally worked for him! He had snake bites as well, which only made me swoon more. Always dreamed of kissing someone with snake bites. <3
“So we have a guy... now how do we find out if it is really him?” Jess asked.
Her and I thought for a moment than slyly smiled both knowing what we needed to do and looked over to Tom.
“Uh oh.” Was all he said before he got the idea of what we were thinking.
