Today was the day.
The day that Christopher would bring my siblings in to ensure my silence. He was at the airport right now picking them up. I don't know what he said to my parents but I had a feeling he had a good reason. A very good reason because I literally don't know what would convince my mother let two little kids travel over continents.
Despite all my protests and promises to not escape, Christopher said he would still bring them. He just couldn't trust me. Jacob and Daniel promised me that they wouldn't let him harm them. They said he wouldn't want to harm kids any ways, no matter how evil he seemed. But I guess I couldn't trust him either.
Regardless, I promised to myself to be good for the sake of my family.
I sat at the sofa, besides the door waiting for them to return.
"Waiting won't make time go any faster" Sophie suddenly said.
"I know. But I don't know what else to do" I admitted.
She had an understanding face. "Don't worry. They'll be safe" she said reassuringly but I doubted, not trusting how Christopher would treat them on the journey. I even made Matt go with him to the airport just in case. But still, I was a worried sister.
"I have a little sister. She's two years younger than you, 15. So I understand how it is to be a protective sister"
I smiled in understanding.
"Besides, these boys got me running like crazy. I feel like I'm an older sister here too" she chuckled, clearly proud and loving towards the guys.
"How comes?" I suddenly blurted, not exactly understanding her relation with them.
"Well, I and Daniel are pretty serious as you could see. And he's pretty close with the boys, particularly with Matt. So I learnt to love what he loves and now I feel very protective over them. They might be my age but they lack wisdom but that's what makes them so innocent. I just feel like a big sister to them, and like I need to look out for them, you know? And I know it looks as though Chris has a hard tough exterior but he's really not that bad. When you get to know him, you'll see that he had innocence too. A lot happened in his life and he's more innocent than Matt even" she explained, looking into the distant and smiling to herself. "He has insecurities and games begin to play on his mind, making him resort to the irrational. But that's why he needs us by his side, to help and support him. He's really a good guy" she said proudly and genuinely but I just couldn't see it.
"What happened?" I suddenly blurted.
She had a frown on her face "it's not my story to tell. You'll find out in time". I nodded my head in respect, vowing to try to understand Christopher a bit more.
I got up and went to the kitchen trying to bypass more time. I ended up lying down on the sofa, intending to only close my eyes for a moment but I think I ended up taking a nap.
----------------
I awoke to the sound of laughter, child laughter even. It sounded strangely familiar. I saw I war crawled up on the edge of the sofa, with a blanket wrapped around me. Hmm, someone must have place it there. I slowly opened my eyes to the sight of Daniel and Sophie, who were smiling down at me.
"She's awake" Sophie yelled over her shoulder, to no-one in particular.
The sound of laugher grew louder. I heard a little girl giggling and a deep chuckle. It sounded really familiar. Then it finally hit me. It was aria and Adam. My siblings. They were here.
"Where are they" I jolted up in surprise, eyes alert and naturally walking myself to the theatre room where the noise came from.
"Bella, wait. They're okay" Sophie yelled over my shoulder but I ignored her.
