As soon as Dylan left, a wave of thoughts rushed through me suddenly bringing me back to realisation. In the midst of this social pariah nonsense, I forgot that I was actually here on a mission. This property belongs to Damon, Christopher's brother. Which means I need to find some sort of proof to prove what Christopher is. A human, a werewolf or something else. Whatever it is, I need proof.

With that determination, I made my way back to the party house careful not to let myself get distracted again. I had to manoeuvre myself carefully around these pathetic excuses for human beings, their drunken state was clearly ridiculous.

There was one dude who even tried to dance with me and sure enough he looked a good sight from a distance but once her got close enough to the eye, let's just say that expectations did not meet reality. Besides, his sluggish face and attitude was off-putting if not repulsive.

I saw a staircase and was hoping that would lead me to some clues. Perhaps upstairs wouldn't be as crowded as downstairs.

"Isabella" I heard my name suddenly being called. Now who could that be? There was only four people in this party who knew me by now but there was only one person that voice could belong to. The owner and host of this party. Damon.

I swivelled around, an futile attempt to look smooth and composed but obviously my clumsily personality didn't assist me. I offered a nervous smile managing to cough out "Damon".

He looked at me wearily, with a look that read 'Are you okay?' Curse me and my awkwardness. I have got to stop looking like I'm suffering from some sort of mid-life crisis or people are going to think that there is something seriously wrong with me.

"Where are you off to?" He asked slightly curious. I couldn't blame him, this side of the house was more quiet with a few post-party people lounging around. My actions always appear as suspicious to him, I seriously wonder what he thinks of me.

"I'm err. I'm heading to the bathroom. I just er couldn't find it" I spluttered out, looking anywhere but his eyes.

"Oh then follow me. The bathrooms on this side of the house aren't the most reliable. Let me take you to the one that actually functions" he offered warmly, coming closer to me and leading the way.

"Thanks" I muttered. I did kind of need the bathroom. Got slightly too drunk on orange juice I guess.

"Take it parties really aren't your thing?" He said, chuckling as I recalled our earlier exchange of words.

"No not really" I said as we turned a corner and I couldn't help but admire how Damon seemed to know every crook and cranny of this house. Moving around was like second-nature to him. Bet he could do it with his eyes closed.

"Oh so where were you along then? Didn't really catch you much at the party" he noted.

"I know I got slightly overwhelmed. So I just went to that little garden area for fresh air. Sorry" I mumbled since I couldn't help but feel apologetic for being a lousy guest. I was the supposedly sister-in-law of the host of this party, I should have made more of appearance. Guess Christopher's going to grill me alive for my lack of presence.

"No no no. No need to apologise. Not everyone likes partying so there's no harm done. But Christopher should have been there to support you" he said understandingly though his tone transformed into annoyingness directed at Christopher. Oops I know how easily these brothers could jump at each other's throats though they did ultimately seem to have each other's back.
