You woke up, your sight blurry.

"Where...where am I..?" You croaked, your voice suddenly hoarse.

Looking around, you saw an elegant Victorian designed room, and sleeping by the foot of your bed was Ferid, his body propped up with a chair.

'He fell asleep watching me?' You thought.

"Oh. Your awake (Y/N)-chan." He yawned, stretching.

You cautiously skooted back until your back was pressed against the cold, glossy, wood headboard.

"Why was I asleep?" You ask warily.

"Why, you fell asleep in my arms during the trip here. I guess you lost more blood than I thought." He sighed.

'But why was he sleeping? Vampires don't even need to sleep.' You continued thinking.

You reached towards your neck, wincing at the pain.

"Let me see." Ferid asked, suddenly beside you.

Reluctantly, you let him unwrap the cloth, the sudden air causing you to hold in a gasp due to the pain.

"This'll scar..." He muttered sadly, "I guess I have no choice."

"What?" You asked, curious.

He slowly took a vial out from his pocket and uncorked it. He then laid you down in the bed, and poured the strange amaranthine liquid onto your neck.

Then, pain sizzled through your neck, spreading throughout your whole body.

You gasp from the pain and hold in your blood-curdling scream, tears forming.

After a couple seconds, the pain settled down a bit, and the liquid dried up, steam sizzling from your neck.

Then, your skin started reforming, the cells regenerating and a new, fresh layer of skin covering up the scar, more layers forming to protect the thin, first layer.

You grasp the covers on the bed in pain. It hurt. It really really hurt.

After what seemed like forever, but was really minutes, your wound was healed, no scar no nothing.

As if nothing happened.

You exhale loudly, and relax your shoulders, which were tensed the whole time. You didn't have enough strength to put up a tough front.

"What..was that..?" You asked Ferid, exhausted.

"Well, it's a little experiment vampires like me have been working on, and by the looks of it, it works!" He smiled at you, holding up the half-empty vial.

"Does that...does that work on vampires too?" You ask quietly.

"Hmm? Well, we don't know yet. We don't really need things like this unless it's a dire emergency." He can't responded.

'Why is he telling me all this information? Could it be that-'

You look up at his smug expression, as if he was reading your mind.

'He thinks I won't make it back. He thinks I'll stay here forever, so it doesn't matter if he tells me almost everything.'

You grimace at the thought.

'Will I make it back?' You question. Then, you shake that thought out of your head.

'Of course I will. I'm an elite. I'm one of the strongest, and, according to most records, I'm on the same level as the Hiragi family.'

A smile tried to tug on my face, but that feeling of satisfaction quickly left.

'But if I'm so strong, why did I get tired so easily? Why did I get defeated so easily?'

Then, you remembered why you were here in the first place.

'I'm only here to get back at Ferid and the vampires, and I'll die trying.'

You look up at the face before you, the face of Ferid Bathory.

"Are you still deep in thought?" He chuckled.

"Maybe." You huffed, puffing out your cheeks. You finally decided that if you get along with him, it'll be easier to kill him.

"So, have you accepted the fact that you are nothing but a pet?" He asked, smirking.

I glare at him.

'How am I supposed to get along with THIS?!' You thought.

You then sighed. You had to. Even if it hurt your pride. Practically forcing yourself, you closed your eyes, and nodded.

"Y-yes. I completely understand." You mumbled, stuttering.

"Oh? I'm sorry I didn't hear you there, would you mind saying it again?" He chuckled. He was clearly enjoying this.

'Damn this vampire.'

"Yes I completely understand." You said, forcing yourself to speak.

"Louder than that, my hearing sucks you see?" He smiled, pointing to his long ears.

"YES I COMPLETELY UNDERSTAND!" You yelled, the ear-shattering scream echoing around the room, Ferid's face in slight shock.

You felt a blush come onto your cheeks as tears tried to break their way through.

'There it is. I've swallowed my pride.' You gulp, on the verge of crying.

"That's better. Much better." Ferid smirked.

"Now, even a pet had to dress well. Here's your new wardrobe," he said, gesturing towards the large dresser, "so pick some clothes. I must present you to our queen for permission to own you, so dress accordingly." He stated before leaving your room.

Once you were sure he had left, you walked up to the dresser, legs shaking at first.

"Geez. Now here I am, back to being his pet. Back to where I started from." You mumble, picking out a dress.
