Mel's POV
Usually on a rainy day at Hogwarts, I curled up in the Ravenclaw common room and read books and ask a house elves to bring me hot chocolate.
Jasmine would complain how bored she was, West would tap his feet while he studied, and I would tune it all out and just relax.
Rainy days were the best. At least, they were. That was before my rainy day routine was thrown off. Thank you boys. Note the sarcasm please!
"How did you morons get it anyway!" I whined in annoyance.
James scoffed. "We happen to be very intelligent! So intelligent, that we had the brains to get Remus to answer the passcode."
I threw a glare in Remus direction. This was his fault. He was the cause of disruption in my rainy day routine.
"And why would you do that?" I huffed at him. His eyes widened in alarm, not having an answer for me.
"Mhm. Lover quarrel already? Isn't it a little early in the relationship for this? You two haven't been dating that long Mason." Sirius smirked.
I glared hard at him. "Shut it Black."
"Defensive too! Remus sure knows how to pick em, huh James?" He chuckled.
"That he does Sirius." James laughed, joining in.
"Are they always this irritating?" I asked.
"Unfortunately." Remus muttered.
I groaned and shut my book. "Why can't you just bug Lily? She's in your house anyway!"
"I've already crossed charming Evans of my list of things to do today." James stated simply,
"Charming?" I laughed. "More like aggravating her."
James scowled at that. "Yes charming her." He sighed. "Anyways, we need to do something fun or we might explode. So you're coming with us."
"No thanks!" I shouted before running away as fast as my legs could possibly take me.
I didn't hear footsteps coming after me but I kept running anyways. It was better to be safe than sorry.
I bumped into someone and fell down. "Ah!" I wailed my arms back, attempting to catch my balance when someone grabbed me and stopped me from falling.
"Thanks!" I let out a breath. I almost died of shock when I saw who it was. I know I briefly mentioned it before, but remember River's mysterious girlfriend Hope?
Yeah. She had a younger brother in second year, Slytherin. He resembled his sister with dark brown hair and those electric blue eyes that always managed to take my breath away.
Jett and Hope Axton. Pure blood, of course. Their parents didn't hate muggles but they kept their mouths shut like my family did about the whole ordeal.
"Oh. Uh, thanks Jett." I muttered, straightening my clothes out. He looked slightly surprised to see me also.
His eyes softened for a second. "Hey Mel. Long time no see. How are you?"
"Quite fine, thank you again." I mumbled, trying to walk away as fast as I could.
He grabbed my arm and stopped me. "Melody." He whispered. He glanced around a little and turned back to me. "You don't have to lie to me."
