Mel's POV

Hogwarts had become a home to me in the short time that I've been there and I honestly was really happy to be going back already.

I was sad to say goodbye to Sarah, she and I had become closer over the holiday. She put herself back together and even got some new friends that she met in town.

I felt okay leaving knowing that she had people to help her keep her head up. I had everything packed and an escort took me to the station like always.

I was pretty early and some other kids that were early were saying goodbye to their parents. I went ahead and got my things put away and found an empty compartment.

Lily was the first to find me. "Mel!" She squealed in excitement. "Lily!" I screamed with equal excitement.

We gave each other a dramatic hug and bounced up and down. After we hugged, we sat down to chat about the holiday.

She was wearing the necklace I got her for Christmas and I was wearing the perfume she had gotten me.

We chatted happily and soon enough West and Severus had found us. We were still waiting on Jasmine though.

A couple minutes later Jasmine showed up and gave everyone hugs. Even Sev, which was pretty hilarious to watch.

We laughed, caught up, and messed around the whole ride back.

"I can't believe holiday is already over!" Jasmine claimed.

"Yeah, but just think! It's a new year and we're even closer to summer now!" West exclaimed.

"I'm ready for the rest of the year, I can't wait to see everyone again." Lily noted.

Sev did a nod. "Yes, the rest of this year seems like it will be quite interesting."

I smiled. I loved my friends. The snack cart came around further into the ride and West bought some candies for Jas, which I found adorable.

We arrived to Hogwarts and I've decided that seeing the castle in all its glory was my new favorite sight.

It was so beautiful, the architecture had amazing detail and the light shined perfectly onto the surface. I don't know why but with a building so extraordinary, you tend to notice a lot about it and what makes it great.

I grinned and bounced along up to the Ravenclaw girls dorm. The corridors were filled with people greeting each other and catching up.

I put up my things and decided to walk around. I had no idea where Jas, West, Lily, or Sev was.

My walk was going pretty well until I was tackled which sorta hurt.

I looked up to see the git that had fell on me to see a happy Sirius, who was grinning with slight smugness.

"Mason! Good to see you love!" He smirked.

James, who I'm guessing was the one that shoved Sirius, looked surprised to see me and helped the both of us up.

"I guess that you could say that you finally fell for me." Sirius joked.
