I did not know what to do. They were sitting at a table, now whispering things to each other. Maybe it was my wolf or maybe it was the alcohol in my system that was causing me to feel that I should either kill the girl or go cry. Hmm, both did not seem too bad. Instead, I came up with a plan B.
I got within their range of sight, keeping my back towards them, knowing that after a while he would recognize my scent. I looked around and did the smartest thing I could think of, I grabbed the most drunken guy, who turned out to be quite hot and kissed him.
This poor guy laughed and returned a drunken kiss. I had absolutely no idea what I was doing, I just needed to forget. I grabbed the guy's shirt and kissed him, and he responded by pushing me against the wall.
This felt off. My wolf did'ntlike it that I was with anyone besides our mate but I reminded her what he was doing with the girl sitting on him, and she kept quiet. I was now pressed against the wall not too far from them. He ran his hands along my bare legs, coming up to my thighs. I ran my hand down his chest and let him kiss me down my neck. I had to admit, he was quite a good kisser. He wrapped his arms around my waist and kissed me harder. I wondered how it would be like if the drunk boy was my mate. I wondered what happened if we kissed. Before I could think anymore, I felt his presence missing. I stumbled a bit, catching the table before I fell. I stood up and gawked at the commotion in front of me.
The random guy who I had been making out with earlier, now was sprawled on the floor, trying his best to get up. Above him was the person who gave him a bloody nose, my mate. I widened my eyes in horror as the Alpha punched him again, causing the poor fellow to spit out blood. I looked up to see the Alpha, his eyes now a deathly black, standing above him, holding him up by his collar.
"Why did you touch her?" He demanded, everyone now silent, many people hiding behind tables and chairs. The drunk guy just laughed.
"Woah man, chill." He laughed. "Why does it matter to you? If I want to make out with her, then I'll make out with her. Besides she's quite hot. That legs though, man I could just-" Before he could finish his disgusting thought, the Alpha started to squeeze his neck. I saw the life fading from the guys eyes as he tried to struggle, but there was no use. There was somebody about to die and it was all my fault.
"Stop!" I cried out. Everyone looked at me. My mate slowly turned around and faced me.
"Stop it!" I yelled, forgetting for a moment that he was the Alpha. I stormed out of the club and walked towards the parking lot.
I felt a tear fall down my cheek. Maybe the tear was from Thea Collins. Or maybe it was from Hope Faye. Right now I had no idea what was happening to me. I do not think that mates are supposed to treat each other like this and why was this happening? I wish this would all stop. I wish I wasn't the last living heir to the throne. I wish my mate wasn't the Chief Alpha. I wish things weren't so complicated.
I smelt a familiar scent behind me. My mate. I was using all my will power to not turn around.
"Thea." I heard a deep voice say. I shivered, my wolf delighted. Even though that wasn't my real name, it was directed to me and that was more than enough.
"Thea." He repeated. I felt my heart beat a little faster. "Turn around."
I turned around, this time, remembering to stick to my character. I looked down and closed my eyes. I felt him step a bit closer.
"Look at me." He instructed, his voice not holding any emotions. I opened my eyes slowly and looked up. My eyes were met with an amazing shade of green. His eyes. He looked at me up and down, his eyes stopping momentarily at my chest. I felt my cheeks turn warm.
