"Whoooo! Living just to find emotion. Hiding somewhere in the night. Don't stop believin'! Hold on to the fee-OW DAMN IT!" Josh complained after I slapped him on the head, hard.
The car ride to school was horrible. I was already anxious enough to get to school, and with Josh singing, sorry, screeching next to me, my mood was down in the dumps.
"Relax! Everything is gonna be fine!" Josh reassured me.
I didn't feel reassured.
After we got to the school gates, he dropped my off and blew a sloppy kiss towards me direction, and I made sure he saw me rub it off vigorously.
I walked into the school and before anyone could ask any question, I dashed into my first class. I got into my seat and buried my head in my bag, hoping no one would notice me. But that was not the case.
Once I got into the classroom, people crowded around me. I knew I was supposed to blend in and not get noticed, but all these people were making it hard for me to do that.
Just then the teacher walked in.
"Class, take your seats now!" Ms Reynolds hollered.
They reluctantly took their seats. They snuck glances and peeks at me. I could sense that they were dying to ask questions. I sighed. At least I was safe now.
30 more minutes to the end of class.
This was probably the first time I wanted class to never end.
15 minutes.
I was getting very uncomfortable in my seat.
10 minutes.
I kept glancing at the clock, hoping it would somehow go back in time.
5 minutes.
I was very close to sweating.
2 minutes.
I guess this is it. Goodbye world, goodbye friends, goodbye-
"Can Thea Collins please report to the principle's office?" The PA system crackled. I could feel the whole class stare at me.
I took this as a miraculous getaway and dashed out of the classroom. Ms Reynolds didn't even bother to stop me, which honestly didn't surprise me. The principle walked past me before, and he looked real scary from my point of view. He was one of those type of people where they tell you that school is supposed to be enjoyable and fun, and "attempts" to make a joke, but looks at everyone with a don't-try-doing-any-funny-business-or-you-will-die type of look.
I stopped suddenly. I didn't even know why I was being called into the principal's office. I quickly updated Josh what was happening.
So why exactly are you going to the principal's office? What did you do?
I didn't do anything. Thanks by the way, for the confidence you have in me. I could imagine him rolling his eyes now.
Tell me once you get there.
I will.
I walked up towards the door and knocked.
"Come in Ms Collins." I hear the principal call out. I walked and saw the Alha standing next to the principal.
It's my mate. I told Josh quickly.
Wha- I quickly cut off the conversation.
"The Alpha," the principal said a bit dryly, obviously not enjoying his new Alpha. "He has requested to speak to you in private. You may have the rest of the day of Ms Collins." He said and points towards the door.
