The next morning came a bit too soon.

"Wake up!" Josh had been screaming in my ear for the past half hour. I ignored him and slept back. He took my blanket and pillow already but somehow I still managed to sleep. He groaned.

"You better wake up or else I'm singing!" He said. I sat up straight immediately and jumped on my feet.

"I'm up!" I yelled. He huffed.

"My singing isn't that bad." He grumbled.

"Tell that to the fallen birds outside your bedroom window." I laughed and went to get ready for school.

I got changed quickly and went down for breakfast. Josh was busy doing some wizard stuff so I was alone at the dining table. Last time, my parents would sit at the both sides of me and we would laugh and talk about the smallest of things. We were all pretty close as a family which for me was a miracle because since my parents were the King and Queen, they had many responsibilities and duties to perform everyday, but somehow they managed to make time for me. I teared up a bit.

When I was 10, rouges killed my parents. Typically, a rouge could not kill any Royalty, but James managed to. James is the oldest vampire in the world so he has gained lots of power on his time on Earth. I remember that night, my parents just tucked me in to bed and before I fell asleep, I remember the bells ringing everywhere, and the next thing I know, a pixie and jumped into my room and was about to kill me. I screamed and Josh appeared in front of me, managing to make it into a pile of dust before it touched any of us. He told me that my parents were busy defending the castle and they ordered him to leave with me first. He took my hand and led me through the underground passages. Once we reached outside, I remember looking back and seeing everything on fire.

I shoved that memory back down, trying to to cry again. I wiped away any remaining tears and met Josh outside. He smiled and drove me to school.

I arrived at the school gates went to my locker. I kept my head down and avoided the crowds. I saw Rachel waiting for me besides my locker and she smiled.

"Hey!" She waved.

"Hello." I gave a small smile and nodded.

We walked to our first class which both happened to be Math. We took our seats and Ms Jackson started teaching. Class was boring. Towards the end of the class, I found myself making braids out of the loose threads on my jacket.

I sighed and rested my head on the table as the teacher continued to talk about whatever she was talking about.

Suddenly, I smelt the same smell as I had last night. I could not describe it. All I could think of was finding where it came from. I sat up straight and looked around the room, nothing. The smell was driving me crazy so when the bell rung I bolted out of the class. I made my way around the school until the smell faded.

I shook my head. I must be going delusional.

"What the heck are you doing?"

"Just a minute, I nearly got the head right!"

Lunch time, Ethan and was making a food sculpture of Christina. She was complaining of how hot it was in the cafeteria and Luke said that it was because he was sitting next to her. Rachel was texting on her phone and I was bored.

Bored was good though. It was definitely better than being chased around by a angry mob of rouges. I leaned back in my chair and relaxed. If only my parents weren't the King and Queen. If only they weren't killed by the rebels. If only-
