I walked over to my sister and sat beside her, putting my head in her lap sighing.

"Don't worry Honey, it will all come clear soon." She said as she began playing with my hair.

"How long have I been asleep?" I asked.

"For about two days, but Darien and I have stayed here with you the entire time.

"Corleen, how long do I have till the day of the prophecy?"

She did some calculations in her head, "It's about a month away I think." That made me bolt upright.

"You mean I only have a month to master my powers, not get kidnapped and save humanity?" I was counting everything off on my fingers.

Corleen gave a chuckle before getting serious, "Yes, I'm afraid so. That's all we've got."

Seeing my sister's sad face made me sit up and hug her, "Don't worry, I can do this." Though I wasn't all too sure I really could I didn't want my sister to worry.

Our sister bonding moment was over as Alex, Julius and Father Sinsata walked inside. They all hugged me tightly and I had to constantly reassure everyone I was okay.

"Don't push yourself so hard." Julius scolded me before smiling. Corleen cooked everyone dinner and we all sat together in my dining room.

"Corleen told me we only have a month left." I said and everyone else fell silent, their eyes on me.

"And I won't lie. I'm scared; never did I think my life would turn upside down like this. I thought I was just going to continue life like a normal teenager. But apparently fate had a different plan for me. And now I have a bigger family. I have faith in everyone sitting here tonight, like you all have instilled your faith in me." I raised my wine glass in toast to everyone and they did the same to me.

Everyone resumed eating, and I came to notice that everyone was glancing at me. I began tapping my fingers on the table as I looked around the table. I closed my eyes and focused on the flow of everyone's energy. I didn't expect it to work, but when I opened my eyes I could see the aura surrounding everyone. Corleen was sad, trouble, her aura a deep blue. Julius was green for confused and conflicted, Aqua was neutral her aura white and Father Sinsata was tense, his aura grey.

What interested me was Alex, his aura was a deep red symbolizing rage and anger, "Why is he so damn special!?" He said loudly standing up, his hands on the table, eyes boring into mine.

"Who are you talking about Alex?" I asked, I honestly had no idea why he was so upset at me.

"Darien! Who else would I be talking about? How can he just erase all the feelings between me and you? You being a vampire doesn't mean you have to forget your human life!" His voice steadily rose to a yell. Shocked silence filled the room until I found my own voice. I too, stood up giving him a glare that would've made Hell freeze over. I was beyond furious.

"Alex, I have not changed. Well, actually I have. I am a new vampire, part of a doomsday prophecy. If I am sacrificed and fall into the wrong hands the entire human and vampire race will become extinct." I took a breath but didn't stop there.

"And what in the Hell are you talking about? Everything between us has been normal, we're friends." I emphasized the word friends.

"Go away and swallow your pride. Come back when you're ready to talk like a sensible person." Corleen said shooting him a glare as well.
