~ELYSSA HAMILTON~
"The hall of doors?" Elyssa asked, confused with what the now human form Lewis was saying.
"Yes, the hall of doors. Each door brings us to a different realm. There are many different places we can go to, but there is only one where you can go to," he replied, then muttered under his breath, "For now..."
"I see," Elyssa muttered in acknowledgment. "Can you tell me more about where I was earlier? Who is this 'he' you were talking about earlier?"
"You were in the abyss. The abyss is a cold and dark realm where those who are to die over and over again are sent to. Their death is usually be devoured over and over again by 'he'. He is the demon who was sent down to the abyss by the gods as punishment. It was originally a place for those who have sinned to reflect on his or her actions, but the demon did not reflect on anything. Instead, he devoured the other people who have sinned and grew even more powerful, however, no matter how much he grew he can never escape the abyss," Lewis replied.
"Then, how did I escape?" Elyssa asked.
"Because of me, I'm not exactly what you call a human either," Lewis replied. "I'm a... Magical being without a name."
"Magical being? So, demons, gods, angels... Exist?" Elyssa asked.
"Not only them. All those mythical creatures in your human fairy tale stories exist. Like spirits, were-animals, fairies, elves, sprite, nymphs and even dragons. They all live in separate realms. You currently only have access to the human realm and that's where we are going," Lewis said.
"I have a question... Why did you help me escape?" Elyssa asked. "You said that all who had sinned are sent to the abyss, yet you rescued me. There ought to be a ton of people dying every second and I don't believe in pure human beings who have never sinned in any way. So why me out of everyone? Why would you do that?"
"No comment," Lewis replied. "I can't tell you yet, sorry." He frowned and averted his eyes away.
"I guess that people keep secrets so I won't delve in deeper," Elyssa replied.
"Come on, we will be heading off now, my powers aren't strong enough to fend him off for so long," Lewis said, reaching out his hand with a smile on his face.
The human form of Lewis had black hair and his clothes changed to a black hooded shirt and black pants. He looked like an emo, but on his face was a kind and warm smile. His eyes were like nothing was there to behold. An endless depth of ink, sorrow, and pain with a little hope. Blue. For just a moment, Elyssa saw wings on his back, they were coal black, broken and there was only one. He was like a tortured man with a false belief of happiness and hope, the type of man Elyssa would not trust or believe in, yet she accepted that hand he reached out, guiding her to a door. She felt like it was a habit since she was a kid, even though she knew what that brought her to.
The images of a past similar event flashed in her mind. It was her watching the other kids playing in envy when a peculiar four of them walked over and asked, "Why are you always alone? ... Come on! Let's play together! Let's all have some fun together! All seven of us!" The familiar childish voice rang in her head that belonged to her former friends. The outstretched hand they gave her, guiding her to all that fun that ended so, unfortunately, years later. Her days then replaced with a robotic life that she despised. She can never forget the tears she cried the night all that fun was burnt to the ground, left with ashes.
