I had slowly drifted into a dreamless sleep while I was still paralyzed. I didn't know whether or not life had re-entered my body, but before I decided to check and see, Selene, Samael, and Lean had entered my room. I continued to keep still as I began to eavesdrop on their conversation.

"Samael it's been a full 24 hours... I'm sorry to break it to you but I don't think she made it" Selene quietly admitted.

"Yeah Sam, if she were alive then she'd've started moving a long time ago. You can alway's find someone else" Lean tried to reassure him. They think I'm dead? I thought. I was just sleeping, did they not think to check and see if I actually made it or not? Someone then sat at the foot of my bed and placed something that seemed to move a lot on me. I softly inhaled in realized that that something was in fact Dolce. But instead of waking up to embrace him in the biggest hug I just continued to lay out stretched on the bed, still motionless, and still what I assume to be lifeless in their eyes.

"I know you'll wake up?" I heard Samael's soft angelic voice whipser into my ear. "We just have to give you a little more time" he continued.

"Lets give her an hour or 2 and if she doesn't wake up--"

"She will" Samael bursted, cutting Selene off in an instant.

"Lets just go". They all quickly exited my room and at that very moment I knew that I had to return the life into my body, or else who knows what'll happen to me. I decided that the best way to do this is to think about having a huge body spasm. Usually when I do that I end up having one, as crazy as it may sound. So as Dolce began to lick my face I just laid back and thought about having a spasm.

A couple of minutes had passed and I knew that it wouldn't work. But then Dolce had climbed onto my legs, and one of his paws hit a really ticklish spot of mine and that nearly made me go crazy. Without even knowing it, I jumped back so far that I had completely backed into my closet door. But what surprised me even more is that instead of falling down banging my head on the floor like I usually would I fell with grace. More grace that not even the best dancer in the world could say they had. Of course I was shocked by this because I'm not that used to being the graceful well balanced one but, I'am now. That's when I realized what happened to me, what I was, and what I became.

I dashed towards my mirror faster than I'd ever ran before, staring closely at my reflexion. My face had become abnormally softer. My cheeks were round and pink, my lips per a tad bit puffier, and my eyes looked larger... my eyes. They were no longer brown, they were hazel. My red hair looked darker as well. I decided to take my eyes off of the mirror because the sudden change felt unbearable to me. I instead looked around my room, my eyesight was perfect. The world around me looked as if it were in high definition instead of it's usual low quality.

I started to get a little ahead of myself and ran around my room at lightning fast speed about 10 times. I immediately stopped and shot a look at Dolce who was just sitting completely still on my bed, for the first time, staring at me. I ran over to him and quickly scooped him up in my arms.

"Thank you" I whispered into his ear. I know that it might be weird of me to whisper thanks into my dogs ear, but if it weren't for him then who knows if I'd've ever gotten up in the first place. I started sniffing the air, I could smell everything from the air pollution to the fruity pebble cereal downstairs. I could smell Dolce's vanilla aroma but what's I sniffed at myself I realized that vampires had to take showers as well, because I reeked.

I put Dolce back down on my bed and quickly got into the shower. I started playing with the showers knobs for a while, changing the waters temperature from freezing cold to burning hot and never feeling a slight change at all. Samael was right, you don't get to cold or to hot. I guess you could say that I was always warm, but I'm sure that to others I'd be freezing.

Once I got out the shower I quickly threw on my clothes which was just a pair of black skinny jeans, a white button up boyfriend shirt and a pair of white flip flops. I looked in the mirror once again and no matter how plain and simple I dressed I still looked astonishingly beautiful. My skin even had this bold glow to it. I walked out of my room with Dolce tagging along with me and I headed towards the kitchen first. When I saw that no one was in it I walked down another long hall and peeked around the corner, seeing Samael, Selene, and Lean sitting on the couch staring blankly at the television screen.

I stayed behind the corner waiting.

"If she isn't awake yet, then I don't know what I'll do" I heard Samael say but while I was looking at him his lips weren't moving at all. Did he speak at all or was I just hearing things? Do vampires just hear things?

"I feel bad for Sam. I have no idea how it must feel to have someone you love that may just be dead because of you" Lean said, but once again as I looked at him I didn't see his lips move one bit. What was going on? I know I can't be hearing things but there's no true explanation for why I can hear Sam and Lean speak but I can't see them talking.

"How could Sam kill Corrine? I know it was an accident but he's been training for years on how to have self control. It's as if it was all a waste of time" this time I thought I heard Selene speak but of course her lips weren't moving at all. Were they just talking really fast? No, even if they were I'd still be able to see their lips move, even the slightest bit. But if they weren't talking out loud but I could still hear them then... I must be reading their minds.
