It was 11pm when Samael came back home. He came in my room and sat down on the swivel chair near the computer. I rolled over to see what he was doing and saw that he was looking at me.
"What?" I asked sleepily.
"Nothing just thinking about how I almost killed you earlier today" he casually stated.
"You know we need to work on your nonchalance because it alway's seems to arrive at the wrong time" he found this to be very funny.
"I realised that ever since you entered our home-"
"By force" I reminded him.
"We all seem to laugh a lot more with you around" he continued as if I never said anything at all.
"I'm sure you guys have had a couple of gut busting laughs before I came along-"
"By force" he corrected me with a laugh.
I smiled at him "Yes, yes it was by force".
"We have had some good times together, but with you we're starting to have more and more of them" he explained, speaking in a very soft tone of voice. It became silent for a while until I finally broke it.
"Samael, when do you plan on changing me?"
"Why are you so stuck on knowing that?" he asked, seeming a bit amused.
"Well I just figured that it might be some information that I should know"
"And how'd you figure that?"
"Well it is my life that you're pretty much taking away" I exclaimed. His expression began to soften.
"I planned on changing you in a couple of months, probably even a year, but with the high risk of danger traveling around in this house... it may just happen a lot sooner than you think".
"What high risk of danger?" I asked, a tad bit concerned that someone might've told him what happened after he'd left.
"Well for starters, me. I almost drained you of every bit of life today! And there's Emilio. Lean told me what he did to you when I was away" he said darkly.
"I'm perfectly fine, and Selene had showed up-"
"But what if next time she's not around to save you? What if none of us are around to help you?" he asked. I couldn't really answer any of these questions.
"If I were in my human world then maybe I wouldn't have to be protected" I suggested, he didn't find that to amusing.
"Maybe, but if I send you back now then there's no garentee that you or your family will be safe". I already knew that putting my family in danger was not an option.
"Will I ever be able to see them again?"
"Well yeah when you learn how to keep yourself under control so as to not put anyone you love in harms way" I understood this perfectly fine. The sooner I become a vampire, the sooner I can gain self control, and the sooner I can see my family.
"I won't feel like I'm being lit on fire when it happens right?"
"That's just Twilight nonsense. You'll fall under a verydeep sleep, you'll only be asleep for 48 hours until the venom takes effect".
