Grace's POV

I let out a ear-splitting scream as the hot metal touched my skin. "For the last time, where are your parents?", demanded the monster as the smell of burning flesh filled the air. "My parents are at my house....", I said with the little energy I had left. He only pressed the metal harder. I bit down on my lip hard, trying to not focus on the pain. "Where are your real parents, you little maggot?", questioned the monster again. "I don't know...", I replied, holding back tears. Suddenly a booming, unknown, voice filled the air," Put her with the others! She is no use to us right now!"
The monster grabbed the back of my coat, making my head jerk back too. He dragged me down a long hallway then entered a new room. The room was lined with cages. Cages covered the walls! Cages hung from the ceiling! Each cage was filled with many different creatures, but he didn't put me any of these.
The monster dragged me into a opened area in the center of the room. Here, bronze jars hung from the ceiling. Inside each jar was a person like me. There was 4 people all together, 3 boys and a girl. They all looked about my age except the girl, she looked a couple years younger. One of the boys had caramel hair and tanned skin, another had black hair and dark skin, and the final boy had blonde hair, slightly tanned skin, and eyes that were always changing color. The girl looked similar to the blonde-haired boy, she had blonde hair and the same skin tone but had icy blue eyes.
I noticed that their ribs were showing through their colorful shirts. When was the last time they've eaten?, I thought to myself.
I also noticed that there was some water in the blonde- haired siblings' jars; it was slowly rising. Were they scared of water?!, I though with disproval, How could anyone be scared of water?
The dark skinned boy had a little campfire that glowed green inside his jar. He was sitting with his back smashed against the jar, trying to not touch the fire, but the flames grew bigger every few minutes.
Finally, the last boy had , as it appeared, nothing in his bronze jar. But as I looked closer, I noticed shadows flying around inside. When they passed through him, he shuddered.
This is barbaric!, I thought to myself as the monster shoved my into a jar. I braced myself for my punishment, but nothing came. As I started to say, What the-, a sound cut me off. From the top of the jar, a thousand or so tiny creatures fell on top of my. They covered my body, muffling my screams. How could they have known my only fear?, I thought as the creatures crawled all over me, Spiders.

Who do you do you think Grace and Hannah's real parents are? Comment if you think you know. (It's kinda obvious)
