Hannah's POV:
Suddenly, I snapped. The dreams disappeared as quickly as they came, pulling me into the real world. The real world full of pain. I fluttered my eyes open and screamed in agony as the pain engulfed me. I gazed at my arms only to see them covered in white scar tissue. I jolted up, ripping off the cords attached to me. The doctors tried to push me down, but found my skin was too hot to touch. I felt like I was burning alive because, well, I was. Jumping out of my bed, I bolted towards the door.
Must get outside! I must get outside!
Running past surprised faces, I made my way out of camp. I didn't know where I was going, but my body did. The water, a voice said, the water. Without hesitation, I jumped into the lake. I stared at my hands again to find they were mending. Beautiful tan skin covered the once white scars. My skin did not feel like it was melting off anymore.
What is going on?
