Lakshmi's POV
I didn't get any sleep last night. I was thinking about taking the record deal. This is what I've always wanted. But I wanted to go to Uni even more than that. I needed to talk to Simon about this. I had come back from a run. Yes a run.
"Hey where've you been?", Zayn asked when I came through the door I was surprised he was up we still had two hours before he had to be in the studio. I was dressed in my sweatpants and T-Shirt so he could've guessed where I had been.
"I went for a run", I replied. He raised his eyebrow in confusion.
"You. Ran?", He asked his voice full of disbelief. I never ran, apart from in sport but even then not much.
"Yes I needed some time to think", I could see that he was skeptical. He knew I never ran. But today I needed to think and I needed to clear my head.
"Ok then do you want some breakfast?", he asked. I could see he was attempting to make an omelet but wasn't succeeding.
"Sure I'd love some, I'm just gonna get dressed ok?", he nodded and turned his focus back to the frying pan. I let out a small chuckle and went into the shower.
I decided on a sleeveless black and white spotty a chiffon top and a bright pink skirt. I came out the shower to see Zayn sitting on the bed.
"You're good at singing", he said. I covered my face with my hands.
"You heard that?", I asked.
"Yep, what was that song?", he asks.
"Endlessly by The Cab", I loved that song. I had never heard of it but I was reading a fanfic on a site called Wattpad. The fanfic was called music sheet but @BelWatson and I fell in love with it straight away. It is one of my favorite songs.
"Zayn I still have to get ready", I stated hinting to him to leave. But he just stayed still.
"Go ahead", I urged and I sighed. I brushed my hair and left it down and untamed. It felt more natural like this. I never used heat on it apart from special occasions because I had spent so long looking after it I didn't want to ruin it. I put a bit of eyeliner and eyeshadow on and left it at that. I didn't wear much makeup.
"You look very beautiful", Zayn said.
"You're not too bad yourself", I replied and we went to eat breakfast. All the time Zayn was staring at me expectantly. I knew he was waiting for the answer on the record deal. He wanted me to take it. But I still had to sort things out with Simon. If I was going to accept this, I would do it on my own terms.
We drove to the studio and we greeted the boys and Lauren. I handed them the cookies I made and went to look for Simon. Before I even left the room he came in.
"Lakshmi can I talk to you?", the boys all said 'oooh', like when you had been called to the heads office. I went outside with him.
"So about the record deal", he said slowly.
"How would it work?", I asked.
"Well you would record, do I interviews, promotions and release and album", he said knowing that wasn't what I was talking about.
"I start Uni in 3 months and I have to go..", I said nervously. University was the most important thing right now. I had worked so hard to get in and I didn't want to live my life knowing I didn't go to university.
"I'm sure we can work round that", Simon said. Staring into my eyes. It was like he could read into your soul.
"You'll only have a few classes a day and they won't start till late so we can definitely work round it, and three months is a long time we can do a lot of work", I smiled. I could do this, I could get signed. This was the right thing to do.
